JR In The Flavelas Of Rio, by Glitter G on Mar 3, 2009 1:47:31 GMT 1, A 200 series that doesn't seem to have existed before. Where are the rest and when were they released?. Its just layers of confusion. If JR gave them away and just 10 were left then fair enough. Are you part of Crackedz Jose?
I have no conection with Crackedz at all. I contact Laz asking for the Favela print that I saw few moths back but there were none left. They told me to contact JR's website and as I'm saying above I got an email saying that only 10 copies were for sale on Crackedz

Favela print now at Laz. Ed of 200 100cm x 59cm £250 +vat. banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=powlaz&thread=26961&page=1
and you are saying that you saw the Favela print at Laz, was that not the 200 signed edition that they have now at Crackedz? I'm a bit confused now

JR In The Flavelas Of Rio, by Glitter G on Mar 2, 2009 17:33:23 GMT 1, I've just found the original price: Favela print at Laz. Ed of 200 100cm x 59cm £250 +vat. It's a bit mad that was in October, so in 5 mouths more that double the price.

JR In The Flavelas Of Rio, by Glitter G on Mar 2, 2009 17:11:36 GMT 1, JR needs to either get proper representation with clear statements of edition size and quality control or stop releasing prints altogether. Studiocromie have done a great job for him and I would trust them totally. But Crackedz ask more questions than they answer. 700 Euros for a sudden and restricted release of what seems to be a signed version of the poster is a step to far for me. Are we being asked to pay over 650 euros for a signature. WTF are they doing and is JR complicit in this. This is my favourite artist and his reputation is taking a pounding for me. Buy his books, look on his website for free and enjoy his magnificent work.
Probably Crackedz's explanation is not the best, but this is part of the signed edition. I contact JR's website a while ago asking about this print and last night I got an email saying that only 10 copies were for sale on Crackedz.com
"Then we are really pleased to inform you that 10 prints of the favela action are exceptionally available on www.crakedz.com. These prints are limited from a 200 serie signed and numbered. The dimensions are 100 x 70 with white borders. The print is in color on special paper with additional varnish."
So they are not doing anything wrong. I guess there are only a few left and they are free to ask whatever money they want for those prints.

Banksy • Nola Print, by Glitter G on Dec 15, 2008 19:43:28 GMT 1, just received my replacement Nola as the first one was damaged and guess what this one is even worse! Why do POW still pack so shoddily?
Almost the same happened to me, not worst but almost the same damage as the first one. They've put the print between to sheets of paper but as melmoth says lengthways AGAIN! Thinking on leave it as it is.

Good night all!, by Glitter G on Oct 16, 2008 23:28:24 GMT 1, I've seen those images before. Nide story from flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/beija-flor/214593427/ "My son, Marcus, admired Banksy's art long before the artist started roaming into London, Paris and New York's most famous Museums and Art Galleries, disguised as an English pensioner, and where he secretly hung his now famous artworks (or infamous, whichever you prefer...) amidst the cream of Art history, admired by all the visitors until museum guards became aware of his hoax and panicked into action.
Already fascinated by his early works, Marcus invited Banksy to Norway - for the price of a free flight over, where thrillingly, the artist left behind his trademark, including a few large, hand-painted "billboards" which now pride the livingroom of my son's home in Bergen, where these portraits were taken.
Over the past few years, Banksy has emerged as an ingenious and dexterous culture jammer, adept at hacking the art world and rewriting its rules to suit his own purposes. He designed the cover of the Blur album "Think Tank", has decorated Israel's controversial West Bank barrier with satirical images of life on the other side and even refused a campaign for Nike.
There is a secretive aura surrounding this fascinating street artist and I'm quite happy to have him (if not only in the background) as a supporting element in my mother's portrait.
Happy Father's Day Mum! To you too, Banksy!"

Jose Parla - Bring it, by Glitter G on Apr 23, 2008 21:41:51 GMT 1, I think the frames are chosen by Parla. The watercolours from Genoa are done the same way and that's what I heard there.

BANKSY BUNFIGHT, by Glitter G on Dec 18, 2007 0:15:55 GMT 1, I had NOTHING to do at work, only waiting for the Banksy to pop up, 10 minutes before the release the internet connection went down, somebody cut it by mistake!!!. I found through the phone that the Banksy was up, run to the closest internet cafe, the connection was way to slow to have a chance... I went home... all gone.
