Cleon’s new show at Louis Buhl….catalog , by Pawel on Sept 1, 2021 16:59:39 GMT 1, That's his best landscape piece and a 100% wall friendly image. First Cleon print I bought in over 2 years. I hope he continues in this direction. He’s style is easily recognisable. He did one painting about 4 years ago. A person in a bedroom with a gun on next to him. I hoped for a print but it never happened.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Sept 1, 2021 16:29:26 GMT 1, Anyone else tempted to sell and grab a B print? If the price hits over $100k, selling one and using the funds for a Banksquiat or unsigned Girl With Balloon is something I’d have to really consider. Although it would be risky in terms of potential ROI loss if these things climb to insane amounts, I’d still be happy at the thought of scoring a B print for $2k out of pocket. I’m not going to do anything with it before the decision deadline. To many silly NFTs selling for silly amounts.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 31, 2021 23:37:37 GMT 1, Haha, well, who knows in the end. I’m in exactly the same boat - mine’s totally unremarkable in every respect, and one of the least inspiring titles I’ve seen (Only fits your ear). I’m going with the principle that a rising tide lifts all the boats - and seen plenty of other unremarkables sell at floor price or just below. Fwiw I think anything listed on Heni for 60k right now will receive an offer over 50... Seem to be plenty of buyers at just below floor. I am facing the greed monster too. Fluctuating wildly between selling right now and holding forever. And it’s further skewed by wild predictions and promises of airdrops and the like. It’s already more money than I’ve ever seen in my life - but also probably the best opportunity I’ll ever have to really sort my life out. I live on a boat, and although the sums involved already seem absurd to me, I keep thinking about Banksy and those rubbish punks and apes, and that this is a unique and historic Hirst, and if I just hang on long enough it could turn into a house. All I really know is that the paintings aren’t the art, we are. very well put rockbeer ! I guess I’ll hang on a little longer and hope that if it’s meant to be it’s meant to be ( whatever that is ha ha ha). Peace out and all the best to you too Sometimes you might be kicking yourself a few weeks after the sale: opensea.io/assets/0xa7d8d9ef8d8ce8992df33d8b8cf4aebabd5bd270/78000302 Edit: Also keep in mind that every good NFT drop/mint is terrible. Gas prices go nuts, you almost guaranteed to be against people with deeper pockets, who might spend a few ETH on gas. People losing $k on transaction that run out of gas and weren't cancelled on time. From the very limited exposure it seems that normal drops with Credit cards/Paypal and so much easier.

Is BANKSY getttin into blockchain NFTs??, by Pawel on Aug 31, 2021 20:34:22 GMT 1, More impressive is your 8 post count in 15 years! I'm not one to shit-post without applying a lot of thought. I'm feeling invigorated for the first time in many years of collecting and am enjoying the emergence of new markets and new opportunities. You should change your username to "the last Ent from the Middle-Earth" or something

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 31, 2021 12:13:47 GMT 1, I still don't really understand why people are paying 60K for what is a rather poor and rather small Damien Hirst. I can think of dozens of other Damien Hirst prints I would much rather have that are going at auction for half that price. I guess people are buying them simply to sell them again tomorrow. You can't blame them but it all feels a bit weird, like some strange merry-go-round at a funfair. Things go round and round but nothing actually happens.
I don't think anyone buys them at these prices to swap it for the physical.

Is BANKSY getttin into blockchain NFTs??, by Pawel on Aug 31, 2021 11:40:04 GMT 1, Everyone relax. Nobody actually paid $100,000 for a fake Banksy NFT. If you have any understanding of how crypto NFT scams work gaakmann and pranksy are almost certainly the same person. Be careful when buying NFT's the majority if not all successful NFT merchants rely on artificial hype and price manipulation tactics to get you to part with your money. you're right, they paid $330k

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 31, 2021 10:18:51 GMT 1, is it me, or half of the forum moved to discord? One thing that I like about Discord is the general civility of the posters. For too long, too many people on here have used the Forum as a place to troll others and take discussions off topic. it really depends on the channel. The Heni one is pretty civilized but some of the others, hundreds on post with "LEEEEEEETS GOOOOOOOO" memes, and rackets going to the moon and other stuff. It's unbearable.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 29, 2021 12:01:02 GMT 1, completely agree with your analysis. you have to be patient if the means allow it. The thing I can't get my head round is that in 6 weeks DH has already created an asset class of nearly half a billion at $50k per piece. If it gets up to $100k it's 1bn total value. Everyone making easy money left right and centre feels very 2017 with the first "big" crypto bubble. There was an article the other day about a 12 year old making £230k from pictures of whales as NFTs. Who knows when the music will stop though. Even if the whole thing collapses you have to months to exchange it for the paper version.

It was sold again for $58k

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 28, 2021 13:47:34 GMT 1, It may well have been tongue in cheek but it was still f***ing annoying!!! I think it was intended to be. I didn’t for a moment see Henners as a real person. I always thought it was a persona someone had come up with to create devilry and cause a bit of havoc. I never thought that was his real voice that I was reading. Because I didn’t take it seriously (and also because I wasn’t the subject of his tirades) it never bothered me and often the gaul of what he said made me chuckle. In many respects I was looking forward to the time that Henners got to call me #paperhands
I can call you paperhands anytime you like

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Pawel on Aug 22, 2021 18:47:38 GMT 1, Arguably. One could also say he sold a much more rare and valuable one(11 words/top 1%)for a mediocre one. Although I can see the allure of cashing out AND still having one, he’ll regret it if these things sky rocket. The single word and high number word ones will be worth much more than the 37k he made. Why should more words be worth more? Mine is somewhere in the middle and I haven't seen a better title.
Cause so e buyers are willing to pay premium for these. Simple as that.

Cleon’s new show at Louis Buhl….catalog , by Pawel on Aug 20, 2021 20:32:57 GMT 1, The splatter on the paper is a technique I hadn't seen from Cleon before. I do like the one with the horse. Yeah, the horse also my favourite. Great size and wall friendly. It seems like already sold out. I would definitely get something, but I already own a small canvas by Cleon so managed not to buy anything.
Generally a great idea. Fingers crossed more artists will make releases like this. We have Jan Kalab with his annual releases, Hirst's Currency and how this. Love it.
