Advice regarding Blek Le Rat from the Board... , by dmandpenfold on Jun 17, 2008 13:33:42 GMT 1, Depends if you want to continue to collect art, if so use the galleries mistake to your advantage, politely explain your extreme disappointment and ask how else the gallery can make this up to you. This is the best advice! You will find that if they are in your debt they will help. Who knows, something better will probably come along with them...
why would they give two hoots now if they didnt before?

next Banksy release....., by dmandpenfold on Jun 17, 2008 13:00:33 GMT 1, I was told a month from Tuesday. that would be happy days ;D
the message in this image is so unfortunately true, not sure if anyone remembers the Channel 9 shenanigans in Australia where an American fella had been lost in the Great Sandy Desert for some 40 odd days, the actions of the media circus and the Channel 9 team who eventually found him bordered on the criminal, but sadly it is a reflection of the voyeuristic media culture we live with.
See the link below for a full transcript of the Channel 9 affair, the most interesting part is the second half, it's a bit of a read but you'll get the picture
www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s49998.htm

Advice regarding Blek Le Rat from the Board... , by dmandpenfold on Jun 17, 2008 9:44:34 GMT 1, so the gallery has held onto your money for the last few months and told porkies about your order...but the general consensus seems to be that it's best to walk away in case you upset someone and because you're not "Christina or whoever" you should accept said state of affairs...
sounds very reasonable to me

D*Face Website HACKED Again!, by dmandpenfold on Jun 14, 2008 1:25:05 GMT 1, funny isn't it? That members of a forum who enjoy the fruits of artists who to many other people are nothing but vandals and a scourge are critical of the Dface hacker, who in his or her own way is doing exactly the same thing...you might argue the hacker is targetting an individual even victimizing him, but don't street artists have 'favourite' subjects of ridicule too, bush, blair, america or whatever is the subversive's hot topic of choice at the time.
first time round many on here saw the irony, thought it was quite clever, funny even, not this time though. I'm not championing the hacker, dont really care too much about his motives or his beef with Dface, i simply like the irony of this thread on this forum..
