Juliens Street Art Auction - Oct 22, by eye like on Oct 8, 2016 21:57:10 GMT 1, There's another Street Art & Contemporary Art Auction coming up at Julien's later in the month.
Looks like they have a lot more items than last time and the quality seems higher, although the Banksy section is a bit weak.
They achieved some pretty surprising (high) prices last time. It'll be interesting to see how this one goes...

Zedsy ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art โข New Print Release , by eye like on Aug 12, 2016 16:45:18 GMT 1, As a relatively new member of the forum I was a little nervous about how easy transactions might be between members, but can I just say what an absolute pleasure it has been to deal with 11!
He even went to the effort of spending a couple of hours on the M25 to bring the prints over to me, so that they stayed flat rather than tubed, and that gave us the opportunity to have a great natter about our mutual art collections. Very jealous of his pieces I must say!!
All in all a top bloke!!!

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by eye like on Jul 31, 2016 19:18:26 GMT 1, Took a trip back there again today myself. Enjoyed it probably even more this time round.
Just curious whether anyone is doing anything differently to frame up Linea to how it was displayed at the show?
Can't help but feel that a black moulding would work even better than the dark brown frame that was used at the show.

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by eye like on Jul 25, 2016 16:34:37 GMT 1, This might be a dumb question...ok probably is...but having never framed a lenticular before what is the view as to whether you should use glass or not?
The one at the Pejac show had glass, which makes sense from a protection standpoint, but most of the lenticulars I have seen framed (Peter Blake's Eiffel tower for example) have all been done without glass. I definitely didn't think the glass helped with the overall effect of the print so I'm inclined to frame mine without, but am I taking too much of a risk? I hear they scratch pretty easy...
Any advice guys?

Pejac show London "Law of the Weakest" 22-31 July, by eye like on Jul 21, 2016 23:52:41 GMT 1, The art itself is fantastic. The best body of work I can remember for a long time. And the PDF absolutely did not do it justice.
However as an experience it left a little to be desired. It all felt as if it had been rather thrown together and last minute. No sign of Pejac at all and it was strangely quiet with none of the buzz that I was expecting. Given everything bar one canvas was pre-sold I think the decision not to sell the print tonight put a lot of people off coming. I'm guessing tomorrow night will be far better so go and enjoy!
The print itself works in my view really well. The lenticular process lends itself to the image, unlike many it doesn't have that gimmicky feel to it, it's actually quite subtle in a good way. Worth the money I would say.
I took a few pics, will try and upload...I'm new here so please be patient

Banksy at Bridge Farm Primary School, by eye like on Jun 6, 2016 14:56:57 GMT 1, I could be wrong but I wonder whether the image is about the loss of childhood innocence in today's modern times.
The burning tyre is a metaphor for the loss of their innocence as well as a graphic and literal reminder of how some inner city kids get their fun by using discarded objects they find in their neighbourhood.
I think Banksy is saying to the kids, enjoy your innocence while it lasts...it's all too brief and getting shorter all the time. I'm pretty sure he's not advocating going and finding a tyre to burn!!
IMHO of course!
