Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by eye like on May 18, 2018 0:05:22 GMT 1, I wouldn't necessarily agree about the red stamp.
I personally wanted one without as I like the purity of the image and found the red stamp introduced an unwelcome distraction. But I know others seek it out.
Either way it's a timeless image.

Banksy & Invader Prints, by eye like on May 13, 2018 9:00:07 GMT 1, If it's flat that's better news! I would estimate a good condition B/W Trolleys would be around 7.5k-8k for a private sale and 8.5k-9k through a gallery right now. But others will I'm sure have other views.
It's interesting to hear that other members have used Bignells and not had good experiences. I've used them several times in the past year and the work has been universally good. In fact they worked miracles on a couple of prints I thought were basically unsalvageable.
But it is quite a big studio with several people working there, I wonder if the quality could be dropping because they are over extending themselves, or perhaps some of the team just aren't up to Graham's own high standard.
My only negatives would be that the prices don't seem to vary as much as you might expect given the varying level of conservation required.
Also it's a complete nightmare to park round there which is a pain if you're having to carry something particularly valuable.
That said as my experience has been so good I would continue using them.

Successful Cover Songs, by eye like on May 12, 2018 19:30:24 GMT 1, Kept meaning to add this one.
New Order's Blue Monday is the biggest 12" single of all time. But this version by Orkestra Obsolete is bizarre but brilliant given that it only uses instruments from the 1930s.

Letโs all laugh at arsenal , by eye like on Apr 21, 2018 22:18:39 GMT 1, I'm a Spurs fan and even I'm laughing at Spurs today. 8 semi-final losses in a row is spectacularly bad.
Now all we've got to do is grab defeat out of the jaws of victory by losing 3 out of the next 4 games to let Chelsea nick 4th place to ensure the balance of the universe is maintained.
And with Wenger gone we'll actually have to fight to be above Arsenal next season.
I need another drink.

What Music are you listening to at the moment ?, by eye like on Apr 20, 2018 23:51:27 GMT 1, Love that track, but for lyrics this has to be Tom at his best...
Well, Frank settled down in the Valley And he hung his wild years on a nail that he drove through his wife's forehead He sold used office furniture out there on San Fernando Road And assumed a thirty thousand dollar loan at fifteen and a quarter percent And put a down payment on a little two bedroom place His wife was a spent piece of used jet trash Made good bloody Marys, kept her mouth shut most of the time Had a little Chihuahua named Carlos That had some kind of skin disease and was totally blind They had a thoroughly modern kitchen, self-cleaning oven, the whole bit Frank drove a little sedan, yhey were so happy One night Frank was on his way home from work, stopped at the liquor store Picked up a couple of Mickey's Big Mouths Drank 'em in the car on his way to the Shell station Got a gallon of gas in a can Drove home, doused everything in the house, torched it Parked across the street laughing, watching it burn All Halloween-orange and chimney-red Then Frank put on a top forty station Got on the Hollywood Freeway, headed north Never could stand that dog

Sotheyby's - Banksy portrait // Made in Britain, by eye like on Mar 6, 2018 19:46:26 GMT 1, The listing says 3D is Banksy! Wtf! Yeah, that's weird... Or maybe they're saying it's actually 3D in the picture, and it's a photo called "banksy."
Thatโs funny, but it just refers to the fact that the piece is a lenticular. Chris Levine is famous for them.

Successful Cover Songs, by eye like on Dec 2, 2017 15:11:31 GMT 1, Working Week, one of my favourite bands of the Acid Jazz era did a brilliant cover of Marvin Gaye on their debut album. It's damn hard to compete with any track from 'What's going on' but they did a fine job in my view.
And if you needed reminding here's the original...

Pejac FRAMED, by eye like on Oct 30, 2017 19:01:09 GMT 1, It's so great to see these photos! Any HF or original pieces out there?
I already posted these Scattercrow pics on the main Pejac thread, but as this is now the framed photo thread I'm posting them here too.
Gary at MFM doing a superb job again. Float mounted, set back in the frame on a matching colour matt with white spacers, white matt box moulding and museum glass.
It's a big, but beautiful piece!

Pejac FRAMED, by eye like on Oct 28, 2017 19:36:34 GMT 1, There wasn't a thread for showing off your framed Pejac pieces which seemed a little odd, so I'm starting one.
Here is my Seppuku. Framed beautifully by Mister Frameman using a Komodo moulding that has very slight distressing in it, with red coming through the black lacquer. Red spacers to match the blossom.

Pejac "A Forest" Show in Venice, 30th Sept, by eye like on Sept 18, 2017 16:18:04 GMT 1, Exciting and unexpected news as I thought his next show was going to be in NYC.
Details from the email below... . On September 30th Pejac will be opening a 2 days show in Venice, Italy, at the iconic Squero di San Trovaso, one of the very last places where traditional gondolas are still hand made.
"A Forest" will consist mostly of the artist's most recent works from The Redemption Series, done on pressed wood panels. This particular series is addressing the senseless ways in which humans are using natural resources, leaving a shameful trail of destruction behind. By re purposing these evidences of human nearsightedness into poetic visual interventions, Pejac brings these objects back to life and creates eye opening narratives. The impact of these unparalleled works is only accented by exhibiting them in a sinking city, among some of the very last craftsmen that created the images of Venice as the world knows it.
This exhibition is coinciding with the Venice Biennale so the artworks will be for viewing only. The opening hours are on 30th of September from 4 to 9 pm and on 1st of October from 11 am to 8
