Paul Insect The Observer, by mrizzle on Jan 29, 2021 11:38:52 GMT 1, Purple Observer arrived here today too. Makes up a little for missing out on a Reflection!
Love this. The purple REALLY pops so nicely on it. Very very cool.
Fantastic to see! Congratulations on the double land! How’s the black in person. Does the glitter still sparkle or is a little more subtle. I don’t think there was a “bad” variant of The Observer.

New Jago with Unit, by mrizzle on Jan 28, 2021 20:47:39 GMT 1, Not perhaps his best but I still like it. I couldn't get his previous one so I hope I'm luckier this time around. I see it's an edition of 90. That's more than previously, isn't it?
No, Adam was an edition of 95.
I really really like this but don’t think I will be going in for it. Too many other things going on just now. The colour palette really works for me with this one. Still...I enjoy looking at Adam every day and still think it’s probably his best to date.

Hessinks Selling Banksy Street Art, by mrizzle on Jan 26, 2021 20:57:58 GMT 1, Ooh, what did you get? I love auctions, but never been in an online one... I got both Hayden Kays. They advertised them as prints, but I'm almost 100% sure they are OG's.... And a few more, but I couldn't tell you which ones if my life depended on it.... Went a long way with the Paul Insect pieces, but had to draw my line.
The pieces by Hayden Kays certainly look like OGs, especially from the reverse images. Nice work. What did the two Paul Insect pieces go for in the end?

Paul Insect The Observer, by mrizzle on Jan 25, 2021 21:17:04 GMT 1, mrizzle I went for number 4 with the black background; thought it had the most contrast.
Number 4 was my initial first pick too but it showed up as immediately sold out for me. This one was a very close second though and I’m not in any way disappointed by it. Please post some photos of number 4 when you get it.

Paul Insect The Observer, by mrizzle on Jan 25, 2021 19:52:48 GMT 1, Thanks for sharing, it’s a lovely thing ! I’m curious about import duty, I received my blue reflection today, as yet haven’t had to pay any duty..?
I know of someone else who got a Reflection through and didn’t immediately receive a request for fees and duty. I, however, received my request via SMS from FedEx with a link for payment. It worked out as 21% and their fee of £12.

Nuno Viegas 🇵🇹 Street Art • Graffiti • Print Release , by mrizzle on Jan 24, 2021 11:50:22 GMT 1, Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts, words and likes. All still settling in but she’s doing really well so far.
Loved the comment about having an original Argiebaji. Also, I’ve got a commission lined up for her from the talented Jameson Robinson for next month Charlesworth.

Nuno Viegas 🇵🇹 Street Art • Graffiti • Print Release , by mrizzle on Jan 22, 2021 22:16:01 GMT 1, I was busy getting my beautiful baby daughter (born yesterday) home and forgot all about this one. Not even bothered this time around because I’ve got something even better sitting happily dozing in my arms.
Well done to anyone that picked one up, I think it’s a cracker.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by mrizzle on Jan 22, 2021 20:38:27 GMT 1, There is proof of purchase. Things come inside the box. Not sure we need to go any further and help future fakers. Only asking because I’ve recently bought one but all I seem to have is a postcard. Should there be an invoice?
The postcard is fairly meaningless to be honest. I bought some cushions last month and they both had postcards included and the same morse code tissue paper as my WM came with.

Paul Insect • The Reflection, Observer , by mrizzle on Jan 21, 2021 23:06:55 GMT 1, So, looking at the FedEx charges, they’re stating £117.44 import tax which is 18% of the total cost plus shipping or 21% of the price of the print (based on today’s currency conversions). They then want a further £12 as a “ Direct Payment Processing Fee. For others in this position, did you just click the link from the text revived from FedEx and provide payment? Sorry for all the questions but this is a first since these new rules came into play. I got the same text. I did not click the link because I didn't want to be scammed. I mean I presumed it was legit but didn't want to chance it. I checked the website and there was no way of finding out (that I could see). However mine arrived today without an invoice and I have not paid the charges. I guess a letter will come in the post shortly telling me to pay that same amount. Thanks for posting, I know I'm not the only one!
I’m always cautious with these sorts of links coming in that manner but, on clicking on it and then verifying the linked tracking details of it and consignment against those emailed, everything matched up so I paid it. I do intend on trying to claim back however.

Banksy Grappling Hook Crucifix, by mrizzle on Jan 21, 2021 14:27:52 GMT 1, Always thought that these are incredible. There are at least two examples of them owned by members of the forum. My favourite in situ is here: http://instagr.am/p/Bw1LkYvlnfC Wow! Has anyone else checked out this Instagram page - this persons collection is mind blowing. Differing colours of Girl With Balloon's and Nola's, brilliant! There is a couple of pictures of the Grappling Hook and and also of the box. Seems that the boxes are also sprayed with slightly differing shades of colours, i have seen some with black writing and also grey writing. Also the FRAGILE colour is differing shades of red.... intriguing. Can someone post a picture of the box from this persons Instagram, i don't know how to do it.

Paul Insect • The Reflection, Observer , by mrizzle on Jan 21, 2021 11:48:52 GMT 1, I’ve just received a text requesting payment for £129.44. Christian Avant Arte could you please confirm that these weren’t shipped with the 5% tariff code and, also, did you manage to determine anything further regarding the €100 Euro shipping on the Observer prints?

Shipping Art • UK, USA, Asia, Europe, by mrizzle on Jan 20, 2021 21:46:38 GMT 1, Say for example my Nick Smith Simpsons print which I paid £595 for. There are several on eBay from £1485 upwards. Would an insurer accept this as proof of replacement value should I insure it for that figure rather than the price I paid? What would they require to be satisfied that they’re not being swindled. Past auction results etc, listings in galleries etc?
Definitely with Morfx Mrizzle,
It would be the cost to replace it.
I queried this point with Hiscox, and they advised they would use things like current auction results etc to determine what they would pay out.
Thank you John The Badgers. A very helpful and much appreciated response. Thank you.

Shipping Art • UK, USA, Asia, Europe, by mrizzle on Jan 20, 2021 19:30:17 GMT 1, Sorry to briefly derail, I wonder, if sending something to a framer for example, do you insure for the price you paid or the replacement value (if higher)? Depending on what it is, price you paid ... very hard to prove replacement value to insurance companies (again depends on what it is)

Paul Insect • The Reflection, Observer , by mrizzle on Jan 20, 2021 12:57:34 GMT 1, 20%... Shouldn’t it be 5% ?! Not had mine yet... Spoke to someone in the know and sounds like Europe to UK customs includes VAT now so that would be the 20%, right? Although saying that, the courier doesn't have an option to pay online and the tracking doesn't show the charge. I'm not clicking the link I got through the text, I'll wait and see if it shows up with an invoice.
My shipping confirmation and tracking has just come through now. Will find out what happens shortly. My understanding is that this should be 5% import fees but depends on the code used to send.
