Cocteaus New Year Bazaar - Banksy, Walker, Xenz , by Cocteau 101 on Dec 29, 2012 16:23:57 GMT 1, Sorry guys due to a reoccurence of a kidney stone the Bazaar took a rather bizarre turn. Anyway it's back and hopefully I've responded to everyone. Better than the sales at any rate.

Cocteaus New Year Bazaar - Banksy, Walker, Xenz , by Cocteau 101 on Dec 2, 2012 22:16:43 GMT 1, Maseo it's in the bazaar this week however are you UK based as its a big piece and possibly costly to ship. I apologise for the slowness in replying I've been away a lot this year working but am now back to concentrate on things. If you are still interested I can send you some pics but that will take a couple of days to sort out.
I recently completed a transaction with Chrisby which was ultra smooth if you need some type of reference.
Bets wishes.

Parla - Haunch Of Venison, by Cocteau 101 on Dec 2, 2012 10:16:55 GMT 1, Lets not all get focused on price with the move. However it's good to see him represented by an established contemporary gallery with a different client base to that which he has been exposed to to date. He's still IMO the most exciting artist out there.

Cocteaus New Year Bazaar - Banksy, Walker, Xenz , by Cocteau 101 on Dec 2, 2012 1:19:51 GMT 1, £275 plus postage gets the Beejoir LV Child print. They've gone for more so again a good deal for someone.
Next up Faile - Launch Tonight from the edition prior to the recent release, bigger, better, more colourful, the works. Considering this is on sale at £1800 at a retail gallery, my offer of £850 takes the print should make someone feel like Santa's just popped down the chimney and filled their sack!

Adam Neate - 'Dimensional Editions & Paintings' , by Cocteau 101 on Sept 23, 2012 21:30:16 GMT 1, m909 and rudecopper - I can see both sides of the argument and in that lies the quandry. I think each needs to make up their own mind. I can speak from experience I have both Neate and Parla originals both bought at somewhere near peak prices but having said that would part with neither. The Adam and Ron show and more so for me Adaptation / Translation were shows of incredible work. At the latter I considered Parla to be a totally new abstract expressionist and considered his work to stand aside the 1950's masters from that period. I may be derided for that view but that was my gut feel at the time. I truly do hope both artists go on to have amazingly successful careers.

Adam Neate - 'Dimensional Editions & Paintings' , by Cocteau 101 on Sept 23, 2012 21:24:38 GMT 1, I still rate Neate, he's pretty special when he gets it right and with most of these pieces he has got it right. I'd forget the editions per se, even though most look very good especially the lenticular which is a clever way of capturing the dimensional aspect of these pieces; they are surely produced to both generate income for the artist (and supporting gallery) to continue his very individual path and to give collectors who can't afford his original work a chance to own a piece of a young and still emerging artists work. Nice to see him back and getting the attention he deserves, I'd just like to see some wider recognition of his talent than our rather insular bubble.
