Invader LED Print, by medichead on Apr 29, 2017 23:05:25 GMT 1, Please price this at 1500 or more. Reflect close to market value. I'd rather give it to invader than some basement dwelling flipper that bots up for the occasion. Price this at £1500 and it's a big f**kyou to the majority of Invader's followers
Rich I think the point is you price it at anything less and the real fans end up paying more than that to flippers on the secondary market.
The question is, who do you want to get money from this? Invader, or posterbob?

Banksy Stop & Search original image!!, by medichead on Apr 29, 2017 21:02:10 GMT 1, I agree with lots of what edholder/beneine are saying.
In this case the piece was buried and lost to society. With this selfless act of preservation, we may uncover it again. I can't really argue against this since no one has been robbed of the piece in the first instance, but I would take issue if this then becomes a seven figure work of art being auctioned off - as people have stated here: in the act of preservation this will mostly be repainted, and to call it a Banksy for financial gain seems wrong. Let's hope that's not what this is about, in which case I am in favour of this expensive experiment!

Banksy • Medicom • Brandalised , by medichead on Apr 29, 2017 11:56:17 GMT 1, No, but I do like their David Statue. If it wasn't so overpriced for a non official product, i'd pick it up.
Agree - if these were around £100 that's the one I'd go for

Your latest Art Purchase?, by medichead on Apr 26, 2017 16:22:08 GMT 1, Just the devaluing in general I suppose. Would have been cheaper to have had them re-flatted for $100 a piece instead of devaluing them by 1000s. I'm really confused about all the fuss... let me reiterate... these are the folded litho prints that came with the STIK book...
Don't worry - they look great.
Think a few people here got the wrong end of the Stik.

ART • What's your Prized Possession?, by medichead on Apr 23, 2017 23:00:15 GMT 1, For me these two: Ryan Hewett and Robert Proch (collab with Chazme)
Love this - hate to say it but I can't wait for him to get over his current portrait style of quite disturbing looking people! As much as I appreciate the talent involved I don't want to hang them.
This is something else though -great piece.

Harland Miller studio question, by medichead on Apr 23, 2017 22:53:54 GMT 1, I believe his partner is on instagram under @mrsmillerstockings - someone please correct me if I'm wrong! Might be worth a punt.
Otherwise I'd just go the more traditional enquiries@harlandmiller.com
If this comes to fruition please share with the forum! 👍🏻

Souled out studios , by medichead on Apr 23, 2017 8:42:02 GMT 1, Snitch is a bit of an odd word to use - this isn't a schoolyard or a street gang. People who list like this just ruin the site for everyone else who searches it.
No one is trying to find a signed Banksy Love Rat and then decides instead to get a Beejoir oil drum just because.
Anyway the description has been changed without any reporting, so whoever's reading this nice work 👍🏻

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by medichead on Apr 21, 2017 20:50:06 GMT 1, Effing hell almost a grand for a MP poster! No offence to the OP but that's incredible! I know it's the going rate but when will this stop!!?
Having said that, the Soup Can poster seems to be well priced. It's sold higher than that at auction by some margin.
Good job putting prices to everything - best of luck with the sales 👍🏻

EAST END MOB - BSMT - 20th April 2017, by medichead on Apr 21, 2017 19:10:22 GMT 1, Nice! What was the price on the pink mighty mo sculpture against bricks?
From memory, the pink one (Brick Lane) was £1600 and the Kentish Town Road one was £1500 - I may have got them muddled up but they were both around that.
The pink one has detail that extends to the back and is a brick for brick replica of his first street piece. So good!

Artists who should of BLOWN UP ..... But haven't. , by medichead on Apr 20, 2017 20:15:24 GMT 1, Great thread, to add my slightly off piste comment, will be interested to see which direction Miller goes? Certainly huge potential, but would like to see 'post penguin books', and where that goes.
Are you saying huge potential for his work to go up in value? He already has prints that cost £9.6k on launch - how much bigger can you get? In terms of future print releases I think we could probably expect more of those Blain Southern '70s textbook covers' for the near future - but that's just me guessing!

Harland Miller • Happiness The Case Against, by medichead on Apr 20, 2017 19:02:23 GMT 1, This edition is now sold out
Just out of interest, how long have previous prints of his taken to sell out? He doesn't seem to get mixed up in the F5-hypetrain nonsense, but then the way this release was handled felt very much about 'who you know'

Best framing option, by medichead on Apr 20, 2017 15:06:37 GMT 1,
That was great - thank you for sharing.
FWIW, I was quoted £260 to float an A1 poster in museum glass in hardwood box frame with museum backing (that was cheapest - one quote was £375). UV protective only was about £180-220. How do these numbers compare to others? Both local guys in North London.

Artists who should of BLOWN UP ..... But haven't. , by medichead on Apr 20, 2017 14:53:47 GMT 1, Spot on. Otherwise we are all just sitting here hyping up our inventory... Except that the OP's thread is about those who didn't blow up that should have - the ones that looked like they'd lead the parade but instead the parade has passed them by. Not about who might blow up and should. Eine had his moment, will remain a slightly more than bit player when the history is written. I thought with his Brooklynite Gallery and the Bodega Show that RAE had a moment, but that seems to have passed.
Of course you are right, but just because someone hasn't blown up doesn't mean they won't. Same could have been applied to Invader a year ago, no?
My only point was that, naturally, we all have a tendency to be biased. That's all!
I personally don't see this happening for Eine, however much he deserves it, unless he branches out beyond letters of the alphabet to reach a different audience/infiltrate our collective consciousness a bit deeper.

Waiting till they are sold out is often a good way of realising how you felt about something!
