Visit TOKYO 🇯🇵 Japan Street Art, Galleries, Events, by tinypoubelle on Nov 30, 2020 14:08:09 GMT 1, I love these quirky wooden sculptures from Hirosuke Yabe. He uses a traditional Japanese hatchet (nata) to make his pieces and uses reclaimed wood from demolished traditional Japanese houses whenever available.
I love Hirosuke Yabe’s work. I’ve only discovered it in recent weeks but would love to have something in the collection. Thanks for sharing.

Pejac • Ahab Print, by tinypoubelle on Nov 17, 2020 18:03:18 GMT 1, Thing is, he only needs 20 idiots who will buy this and, as we are aware, there are more than 20 idiots on this forum with money. It will go to the usual suspects: predominantly French and it will be predominantly in return for being shown on their Instagram.
I’m not sure there are 20 of this particular type of idiot out there.

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by tinypoubelle on Nov 17, 2020 12:37:36 GMT 1, irl1 and iamzero what is your complaint with treblenobass ?
As far as I can see he / she hasn’t done anything wrong. They’ve shared as much info as possible, been helpful wherever asked and tried to help people to understand the back story about the decks and Clown. They clearly have a lot more knowledge than most on the subject.
They’ve been totally transparent throughout.
Sure, they think these will go on to be worth more and he recognises Clown as playing a larger part in Banksy’s early career, than you two but that’s just a difference of option. If you don’t appreciate them as much as they do, so be it. If they got a set, they’ll be delighted and if you two didn’t, you won’t be too disappointed.
When you thought Clown were out to finger everyone, you concluded he / she was a member of the Clown team, doing their PR. Now that you’re satisfied that Clown are decent people (probably highlighted to you by Treble) he is no longer associated with them and remains the cause of all the confusion?
Maybe Treble is just a decent person, wanting to share something they’re passionate about and hopefully share with other like minded people?
Time to move on.

Artist Plate Project 2020, by tinypoubelle on Nov 16, 2020 13:29:57 GMT 1, It will be interesting to see which artists are still available when they go live again. It looked like 6 or 7 had sold out before the 12 hours passed.

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by tinypoubelle on Nov 13, 2020 12:21:51 GMT 1, I’ve not seen a t-shirt sell for more than £10 above release price yet. I bid on a couple that barely reached £40 and were withdrawn.

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by tinypoubelle on Nov 12, 2020 21:38:13 GMT 1, Surely no one is having second thoughts in that they regret buying these?
That their first thought was to buy them and their second thought is now to sell them, I accept.
Good luck with your quest Zippy

Constructive Criticism, by tinypoubelle on Nov 12, 2020 18:01:11 GMT 1, FWIW I too really like Asylum Seeker and Change of Allegiance
I would say that they are both clever.
Being totally honest, I saw Asylum Seeker a few days ago and my initial thought was “someone ripping off Invader” so I didn’t really appreciate it. Now I’ve looked at it again, I think it is intelligent and well executed. The same goes for Allegiance.
In terms of a couple of points made about a) it costing you a lot to produce a print yet wanting to sell out editions and b) a couple of people saying you should start with originals.
Forgive my ignorance here, for it is vast.
Could you start by making one print, costing you less money and put it on Instagram for £60? It is an edition of 1, therefore an original. If it sells and you get another 20 people asking about this one, you can then decide to do another edition, of 10, with perhaps a colour variation and release that?
The buyer of the first print is happy because they have an original and the buyers of the second release are happy that they got what they wanted and you haven’t got 40 prints lying in a file, wondering why they didn’t sell.
If costs prohibit releasing one-off screenprints, then I’d say the key thing you need to be able to do is create the image that you want to release and get a strong idea of how others feel about it, before committing to a print run.
Not everything is going to be a hit. Some of what you think is your best work, others won’t appreciate as much and you’ll be baffled as to why. You’ll never keep everyone happy. Sometimes people don’t laugh at things I say half as much as I think they should*. I can’t understand it but have concluded that their loss.
Good luck with what you’re doing and hope you enjoy yourself along the way.
* They do really, I‘m the funniest guy I know. I was just trying to make you feel better.

Martin Whatson - characters on cardboard , by tinypoubelle on Oct 27, 2020 8:13:22 GMT 1, Morning, afternoon, evening all.
I’ve had a lot of messages and chats with different people over the last few hours. I am so grateful to the many of you that have helped me establish the realistic price for these.
The preference would be to sell as a set. I’ve had a few good offers for them all.
I’m out most of the day, so am leaving this update and will hopefully conclude everything when I’m back.
Individually, the prices are as follows.
White - £600 Black - £600 Green (double-sided) - £1000 Red 1 - £800 Red 2 - £800.
Price for the set I’ll leave to you, as it is not fair to those offering privately to share where the set offers are pitched.
Have a great day. See you this evening.

Hopefully I’ve replied to everyone.
I’m still unsure as to pricing, any suggestions welcome. So far the range has been £100-600 each but I’m am not familiar with his pricing and totally appreciate that these are not his more popular style.
Someone has kindly shared on the Facebook MW page so hopefully I’ll get some guidance there too.

Martin Whatson - characters on cardboard , by tinypoubelle on Oct 26, 2020 15:09:21 GMT 1, Whilst hiding in the loft, avoiding work, I came across these. I bought them directly from Martin in 2009.
original hand-sprayed characters on pieces of cardboard. Sizes vary, all 50-60cm x 20-30cm.
If they’re of interest to anyone, let me know. I haven’t a clue where to begin in terms of price, so I’ll just leave them open to offers.
UK based.

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by tinypoubelle on Oct 16, 2020 15:35:29 GMT 1, I know someone that bid over £10k and hasn't got an email yet.
Tell them to expect a knock at the door at any moment. They treat it like The People’s Postcode Lottery for bids over £10k.

Ador - Small canvases Sold, by tinypoubelle on Oct 7, 2020 16:37:39 GMT 1, It's a shame how Ador's second market is so low. It has happened a few times before unfortunately on this forum. Real shame! personally love him and this set looks gorgeous!
Thanks lollo88. Much appreciated.
I guess his work must be relatively easy to still buy from galleries. His work is great and we still have loads around the house, on the walls.
I don’t want to keep reducing the prices and burn the pieces, or his primary prices in doing so. If there are no offers by the week end, I’ll take them down and see if someone comes looking in the future.
Thanks again for your comments.

Ador - Small canvases Sold, by tinypoubelle on Oct 7, 2020 16:00:06 GMT 1, I thought you'd posted your family portraits for a moment there tinypoubelle Lovely pieces
Thanks craigf That was the look I was going for when I had them framed.
There’s a chance portraits of my actual family would have generated more interest in here, albeit they would never have made the wall. We’re a fairly wretched looking bunch.

DRAN Print, Canvas, WANTED, by tinypoubelle on Sept 23, 2020 19:47:15 GMT 1, I’m after some Dran mini prints with the miss trap on the back Decking out my bathroom with them
Are they the ones from the pop up stall at the side of the Seine? If so, I’ve got a few of varying sizes.

Dran large canvas for sale, by tinypoubelle on Sept 9, 2020 18:40:34 GMT 1, well darn. now i can't not see the pink drip
I wouldn’t worry about that. A lot of my original paintings have drips on them. It’s quite common, particularly with Dran works. Works on paper with tears in them, holes (intentional and unintentional). It would t bother me at all.

Dran large canvas for sale, by tinypoubelle on Sept 9, 2020 18:24:13 GMT 1, I agree with Vincent and others that the best thing to do with this canvas is to stop trying to sell it. It’s a nice canvas and people will want to buy it but let them seek you out. Put it away for a while, if you can afford to.
