BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 11, 2019 16:55:34 GMT 1, I have the opportunity to buy the thrower triptych, I’ve been on here for 2 years so not long standing but also I didn’t sign up just to post that I won. I also consider myself a member of the public as I don’t have any gallery or artist contracts. Just an average bloke working far too many hours trying to make ends meet. Your theory is disproven. Thank you. Another one that doesn't understand what an editioned original is. But thanks for your input.
My apologies for not knowing something. Thank you for the lesson, consider me corrected.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 11, 2019 16:33:39 GMT 1, Again. There are two long time members that have won. I have now sent you a DM to their very public posts proclaiming their wins. Hopefully this puts this conspiracy theory you have to bed. Thank you for your rather aggressive DM. All you've done really is prove my point.
On page 306, bers - a newbie - said someone had won a flower thrower limited edition print (it was not his photo so I assume he hadn't actually won it himself), whatilike had won a Bansquait and so had quixote. On page 308 someone on twitter said they'd won an unlimited edition can but there was nothing in that to suggest that it was won by a forum member. So that's two established forum members confirmed as each having won a limited edition Banksquait print from an edition of 500. As Meatloaf once said, two out of 500 ain't bad.
How does any of that support the view that editioned originals were won by established members on here? I don't mean to be patronising or rude at all, but do you know what an editioned original is...?
I stand by the view that there is nothing to show that editioned originals have been won by any established members on here, or the general public. The editioned originals more than likely only went to those on the preferred clients list (even if they were established members on here keeping it on the low down) and anyone else was wasting their time applying. The Tony Tiger rug that was allocated prior to the draw being made completely supports that.
GDP have openly said they're vetting applicants and I'm sure as I can be that the vetting process involves identifying all their preferred clients. Do you really think that Team Banksy would want to put editioned originals into unknown hands that will probably stick them into auction the first chance they get? I doubt it.
IMHO it was misleading of GDP to advertise editioned originals as being accessable to everyone. The unlimited items, and a portion of the limited editioned prints, do appear to have been available to win.
Don't get angry about me making a point. I understand that that's the best way to manage Banksy's market and I'm not bitter about not having made the preferred clients list. I'm on board with all that. But misleading general applicants into wasting their one entry on an editioned original they never stood any chance of winning? If that's what has happened, then that's really not right is it...

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 9, 2019 13:16:06 GMT 1, I think people need to breathe a bit, get over their disappointment and in a number of cases, their entitlement issues.
Statistically there outs no reason why any 5 star member should win.
Psychologically avid followers would have probably applied earlier.
As a judge given a decision to pick a time frame for entry, who is going to pick the first day or two?
I wouldn’t. I didn’t. I won.
And in the vast majority of things I’ve entered, I’ve never won.
People just need to learn to breathe and accept the system and the result, getting butt hurt over not being chosen is tiring to read.
And hey, maybe your tire breaker was crap. Maybe some introspection is required... or just blame everyone else.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 8, 2019 19:59:22 GMT 1, That is the question I am trying to answer! And if they are framed, is there glass, perspex? It says 'Framing not included' on the Thrower page of the GDP site Thanks for that... my eyes aren't what they used to be...
So when it arrives, will be time to try and imitate the framing shown on GDP as I love it

Though my Peace Yin Yang arrived in a box both heavier and deeper than those dimensions.
Of course that means nothing, Pejac could just be a better packer!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 8, 2019 19:48:49 GMT 1, Thats some heavy prints! Pretty dam thick as well. framed? Never noticed the weight before. Odd, as I can't imagine them sending framed prints around the world. Could be 2500gsm paper😉 Which raises the question, if it arrives unframed, then how to frame it.... fallen in love with the old school frames they are pictured within.
Another question, why was the Banksyquiat print shown on GDP as just the print. Surely they could have done the same with thrower showing the three pieces next to each other?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 8, 2019 19:40:51 GMT 1, Im probably going to regret this, but what is it about the VAT that you think is fake? how about this one: what is VAT? a tax? Yes, Value Added Tax, currently at 20%.
If being shipped to the states for example, that tax is not payable.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 8, 2019 14:43:55 GMT 1, Yeah it's strange one, I followed the rules but there are so many of them who knows what could trip you up.
On the positive, I think prints will be shipped in the next month, the unlimited items will be the ones that take longer... though this is just my thought based on nothing but hope

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 8, 2019 14:35:42 GMT 1, Thinking of changing my user name to get off that list...
Let's see what pans out, I'm an optimist but I'm not making space on my wall until I get tracking info...
I think this waiting period of up to 5 months will have a few peoples blood pressure up a few points, I'm checking my credit card balance everyday to see if its been refunded.
For me, I'm enjoying the unobtainable dream being a possible reality.

Don't own any pieces valued over £5k, and so never felt inclined to insure.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 6, 2019 14:28:20 GMT 1, Shipping for Thrower £145.
They must be tiny prints considering the cost of the cushions to ship :-D\
Value of the piece is inconsequential... never had the ability to purchase a piece before, this will be passed down to my kids!

Pejac - Love Letter, by chefd on Dec 4, 2018 19:21:36 GMT 1, Everyone seems to forget that all the proceeds will be going to charity, so I'm glad its costing what it is and not ££200... why give the flippers some money for nothing, when the piece can actually do some good.
