micallef / choe FS, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 17, 2008 22:49:46 GMT 1, that it is lastpost...
hopefully will go to someone for their wall. Just simply have no room for it, other than in the portfolio. and it is too good to be hidden away.

New Faile Prints are showing on their site., by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 17, 2008 0:05:55 GMT 1, i was in the laz print shop last week where all the faile prints are on show at the mo. apparently they are being released early in the new year. no say yet on whether theyll be sold through the gallery shop or online again.
did you bother to read the other posts on this thread? at all?
for the benefit of the hard-of-reading lets say it again. The pieces at Lazarides' print shop are TEST pieces being shown to COMPLEMENT the main show and show the progression of works/ideas.
they are NOT part of some 'yet to be released' set there to whet your appetite. Yes, there MAY BE prints released next year, based around these images but it isn't a certainty yet.
..and to start speculating about where these prints may or may not be sold is ludicrous. At least on one subject can we stick to facts please?

New Faile Prints are showing on their site., by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 16, 2008 12:48:58 GMT 1, as A little bird says, these are not prints from an as to be released set, the closest comparable is a maquette.
if you look closely they are on Keyfoods posters, thickly painted and with various cuts and tears. And not for sale, sadly, as they are gorgeous...

Faile Get Acquainted Stencil..., by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 16, 2008 0:21:40 GMT 1, i think you'll find the wood effect was printed ONTO PAPER "lol" so you would technically call these 'prints' rather than pallets etc.
obviously we know they are sprayed but they are editioned works akin to a run of prints.
and, yes flay is a word look it up.

Faile Get Acquainted Stencil..., by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 15, 2008 22:04:45 GMT 1, the fake wood pieces are pointless with a big massive white border, why not do them on proper wood?
...because then it would cease to be a print and become a stencil on wood, wouldn't it?
don't flay them for trying a new technique, i like to see them trying something different with their print work

WTB Neate Street Piece, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 15, 2008 21:58:14 GMT 1, i disagree, not £1k but its not a piece of cack. looks like a bit of jelousy to me
funny stuff.
if i really wanted one i would have pounded the streets myself. in fact i considered that right up to the point i saw them... looks like one of the squiggle drawings adam did in the elms book blown up and printed on cheap cardboard in day-glo colours. nah thanks.
i applaud the idea, and though gimmicky it certainly was entertaining, but, yes i think the pieces themselves are utter cack.
save your thousand, get another four and go for a pizza box or similar.

POW Make Great Toilet Paper!, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 9, 2008 15:41:04 GMT 1, Will - They why did you buy them? Think of all the Banksy/Micallef/Insect and other artist you did buy and made a lovely profit from - bet you they weren't so boring then!!! you shouldnt have gotten the sack then, should you!!!! POW is a much tighter run outfit, since you left - what they have done is leaps and bounds to the way it used to be run, when you were there. No more do you see backdoor prints!!! Payment process is fast and easy, the choice of art and the prices are second to none, their customer service is great, if you have a complaint/issue they deal with it promptly and efficiently, they ship prints out fast and securely, they put on great shows. The bald businessman at POW - has been very instrumental in getting all these processes in place, so we the supposed "collectors", can appreciate, enjoy and buy affordable art from lots of great artists. He presided over SG Bethlehem, which raised over $1million for good causes in the region, and oh lets not forget Cans Festival, which was completely free!!!! We all know who stef is but who are you Al and what have you to do with POW???
absolutely fuck all, other than he has spent money with lazarides for the last 18 months and kissed serious arse during that time also.

Wallk-andy in Maintenance Mode , by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 7, 2008 22:02:55 GMT 1, Don't know, only three threads worth watching over there though (ok the occasional other turns up), on the street, picture of the day and what the fxxk. Not a dig, but that is all I look there for.
why not start your own threads and fucking contribute then?
maybe because you feel more comfortable in less rigorous surroundings...

Does anyone on the forum sell with Bonhams?, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 7, 2008 20:18:11 GMT 1, hmmm bonhams or ebay? now that's a tough choice. i'd go for ebay, as you know your art won't be treated like shite and it is better organised.
although i'm sure bonhams would love to get their hands on all your dolks and zbiok for their next 'urban art extravaganza'. tasty.

Stella Vine three new prints on sale now, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 5, 2008 23:46:55 GMT 1, really puts into perspective how overpriced all the s**te is thats flogged on this board... an editioned/signed stella vine for under £200 or a grafter/cartrain etc? tough choice So you think this is the work of a gifted artist? Ok, each to their own, but the perspective is the opposite to me. I would say its amazing how overpriced some s**te can become once a piece of their work is bought by Charles Saatchi. Oh and it helps that the artist used to be a stripper.
i happen to, yes.
more than simplistic stencils or 'wacky' collages by sub-GCSE level chancers flogged to a tiny group of people on a forum, thereby justifying ludicrous pricing. Whatever you may think of Vine is she not an established artist in the real world?
but, as you say, tastes differ.

Stella Vine three new prints on sale now, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on Nov 5, 2008 23:41:15 GMT 1, i hope she was a better prostitute than she is an artist!
