AMs work hanging..., by Johnston America on Jul 29, 2008 21:47:33 GMT 1, one thing that I would like to throw into this conversation if I may, and I don't see it mentioned yet, is that we are in a brave new world. an increasingly smaller and faster new world. it's called the internet and it allows all of us to share so much more so much faster than ever thought possible 20 years ago.
the one thing this new art "movement" has going for it is the fact that we can bypass the galleries, the critics, the "establsihment", and share ideas immediately with each other. I don't believe this urban art movement would have ever blown up as it has without the help of the internet.
And.. I don't think it's going to be easy for anyone to predict what will happen next because we are in a brave new world...
It's nice to be on this ride with all of you, from all over this smaller, faster planet

Faile Forbidden Love f/s, by Johnston America on Jul 25, 2008 18:20:34 GMT 1, military death is 15 X 20 and you're right about the hand finishing, it's awesome. I especially like the bright yellow outline that glows against the blue background on MD..

Looking to buy a FAILE Ganesha, by Johnston America on Jul 23, 2008 12:31:57 GMT 1, Those are my auctions and I've kept these Failes in perfect condition - this version of Ganesha is the first time we saw her, and the piece I have is the only one I've seen w/ Savage World under the YP.
btw walls, the blue isn't really shimmering, but it is true that it's a real beauty!

FAILE Surfer Horse III, by Johnston America on Jul 4, 2008 18:57:36 GMT 1, Thought I'd check here before listing on eBay -
I bought this from a charity auction hosted by our very own Pezlow over a year ago so I don't have a paypal receipt. I'm positive Pezlow will vouch for it's authenticity though
I'm selling because I have another version of Surfer Horse and don't imagine I need two of them. Some nice thick paint and graffiti on this one.
Will probably be listing on eBay for $6995 or best offer - only 8 made and from 2006.. send me a pm if you're interested, have had many trades/buys/sells on this forum and others.
Surfer Horse III
Varied-edition print of 8 Acrylic & Silkscreen on paper. Lenox 100 Paper. Dimensions: 32 x 24 Inches. (81.28 x 60.96 cm) Signed/Stamped/Numbered By Faile. 2006

Faile - Full Sized, Full Color Ganesha NYC, by Johnston America on Jun 23, 2008 16:41:37 GMT 1, yes pimp, I'd say that is very accurate!
Although I will say, I'm not normally a fan of "But it Now" but the last few prints I've put on ebay as a regular auction have been won by "Highjacked" accounts which has led to me having to relist, etc..
I've found that for some reason there are people out there who have a penchant for doing this to Faile pieces in particular. Hence the "Buy it Now" with the "Best Offer" button.
It's seemed to eliminate the shenanigans of people who have the time to ruin other people's auctions..

Conor H on ebay/Faile for possible sale, by Johnston America on May 17, 2008 13:43:51 GMT 1, the reflection on the faile makes it look like it was printed on a coated stock? Not normal for faile.
normal for these Zipp - at least for that color version - either the black ink they used wasn't a matte ink, or the heavy layering makes it reflect like that - the ink/paint on these is THICK!
