Any word on Faile BIN shipping yet?, by themightyreds on Aug 27, 2008 19:52:00 GMT 1, just opened mine up and letting it flatten out...
IT IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING..!
Will post some close up pics tomorrow if i can to try and show the way the ink is laid down... bit too dark at the mo for close-up work! Looks like tiny ink droplets where the plate has been lifted from the paper.... So much detail in this piece. Will be whisking off to the framers at the weekend to get a job done like theycallmestephen mentions below.
great to see these arriving now! can't wait to see framed examples, i think a simple white box frame with the image float mounted would look a treat.

DFace • Kant Complain 2007, by themightyreds on Aug 24, 2008 9:28:05 GMT 1, I'd pay up to £700 for one of these but think it'd fetch a little more on ebay as an auction, although things are a bit slow on there at the mo...

NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by themightyreds on Jul 9, 2008 11:15:41 GMT 1, Neil & Ged. This is a great way of helping the peolpe at the Mercy centre, and very well done to you both for taking on the challenge of arranging it all!! I will be following this closely and hopefully i'll be able to bid as well. Will the auctions be blind, or will the pads be listed with the artists contained within? & to throw another artists name into the hat for contributing, hows about Oliver Shaw?

Framing it myself cuz i can't trust anyone here, by themightyreds on Jul 5, 2008 20:57:48 GMT 1, Go for it i reckon!, maybe try it out with a blank piece of art paper similar to the print you are going to frame and see if the t-hinges take the weight of it ok first though...! I've d-i-y framed a number of my pieces that all seem fine so far. An easy way of getting a float mounted look is to press the print against the glass with the mount & backboard - i know a whole load of people will be spitting their tea out at this idea but a lot of my prints i want to see but also want to be able to chop and change them when i feel like it and without having to pay a framer to do it. I wouldn't do this to any expensive prints i buy now but i've had a pulp fiction happily framed in an off-the-shelf ikea jobbie for the past 3 years and there's noting at all happened to it for being framed this way. If you don't want the print to touch the glass, just get a window mount cut for it! If you get the window mount cut slightly larger than the print itself you can float mount it within the mount aperture - i did this recently and the results are 1st class!!
Post some pics when you get something done!

Faile - Buy Now, by themightyreds on Jul 4, 2008 10:12:30 GMT 1, A guy i work with had his fight vanity print arrive yesterday and its a real cracker! I'm gutted i missed out on it. That being that, i can only imagine this print being equally as stunning in its own way when it arrives.
& I think its great its still available as at the price it is its given people time to make their minds up about how much they want it. The fact that the fight vanitys are only selling for about £100 over cost, and that it won't be sent out until well after the credit card bills are in are probably whats keeping the flippers interest in this one down.

Miss Bugs 5th June Brighton, by themightyreds on Jun 20, 2008 16:10:35 GMT 1, All the ones i've ordered direct from MB come in tubes and so far show no signs of damage for being rolled. The paper/stock they use takes an age to flatten out though...
