Goldie - Athleticizm (28th October to 3rd November, by bozboz on Oct 4, 2011 11:43:30 GMT 1, From 28th October to 3rd November, Goldie's Athleticizm show will be taking place at London's Underdog Gallery.
Part of a special collaboration with Adidas celebrating London 2012, Athleticizm sees Goldie paint 12 of Britain's Olympic hopefuls, bringing the worlds of street art and sport together in a unique and new way.
Curated by Eddie Lock, the show will feature paintings of athletes such as Olympic cycling gold medallist Victoria Pendleton, 2009 World Heptathlon Champion Jessica Ennis MBE and 2010 FINA diving World Champion Tom Daley.
Athleticizm will mark a departure from the traditional portrayal of national sporting stars, depicting 'the rawness of their talent' as Goldie says and 'in a light in which they are rarely seen'.
For more information on the Athleticizm exhibition, visit www.eddielock.co.uk

Appeal for Witnesses - April 8th - Redchurch St, by bozboz on Apr 10, 2010 21:03:41 GMT 1, I saw the whole incident from the beginning to end, no one urinated against the wall thats for sure..
They rolled up 15-20 strong and started pushing people and shouting. They took offence to people drinking in the street, said we were disrespecting Islam but they were looking for trouble and terrorising people from the start. One guy went up to a girl next to us and told her if she didnt get the f*ck away he'd stick his c*ock in her mouth. Doub't he read that in the Koran. This kind of thing went on for at least 10 minutes before the real trouble broke out. They even left and came back about 15 minutes later, with bottles and god knows what else in hindsight. One of them was filming himself terrorising the crowd on his iPhone.
I don't think anyone realised how messed up those guys were when they showed up, their faces will be burned in my brain for a long time.
Never thought I would witness something like this first hand, very screwed up people, it could have been any of us in hospital and was completely unprovoked. Thoughts going out to those that were injured.
Huge shame that it spoiled what was such a great night with some great art and a lot of effort from the gallery and artists. Dan Baldwin and Goldie's definately worth a mention.
Hopefully it won't ruin the show and the guys get brought to justice..

Goldie - The Kids Are All Riot - 10-26 April, by bozboz on Feb 26, 2009 0:54:09 GMT 1, goldie lost it after metalheadz
Metalheadz is still going strong mate, and Goldies still kicking it. At Pirate Radio in Moscow on Sat he played to over 15,000. I cant think of any other artist that is doing that, and turning out such great art as well.
Some of the stuff in the new show is amazing, im looking forward to seeing it all in the flesh!

Goldie gives a lesson in art history, by bozboz on Jun 7, 2008 10:01:32 GMT 1, Yeah Goldie is a legend for sure. He pretty much defined drum and bass in the early days and his label continues to be a driving force even now. The very fact that hes prolific in so many spheres and has come so far from such difficuly beginnings is a testament to the guy, and some of his new works are brilliant.
Dont be fooled by the bond badguy look, theres a lot more going on under the hood than meets the eye
