Sotheby's Art Auctions • LONDON 🇬🇧, by singerstu on Mar 17, 2021 16:16:34 GMT 1, What’s the record on the edition 25 Choose Your Weapon? Wonder how green looks in the flesh. Both the CYW prints beat the previous record in Phillips December Auction. About £135k. The Green one whilst Ed 25 was only ever sold to VIP customers, it was never on general sale. Also we don’t know how many of the 25 were actually sold.

Pest Control COA • Banksy Print Authentication, by singerstu on Mar 4, 2021 20:54:49 GMT 1, Anyone know how long it takes for Pest Control to get back to you? It's relating to a change of name of print ownership. My experience in the last 12 months has been anywhere between 2 hours and never. On average around 4-5 months. However with Covid restrictions easing that may change.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by singerstu on Feb 23, 2021 15:33:37 GMT 1, Hi I’m trying to get a valuation for my Banksy GFP Rat Clock for insurance purposes - can anyone recommend someone? Many thanks If your insurers are happy check out valuemystuff.com
From what I have seen on here thay are £150-160k so maybe £175k for insurance.
However whether one had ever been sold or thats just pure speculation I don't know.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by singerstu on Feb 12, 2021 18:36:42 GMT 1, You maybe right, I used £35k as I knew/had been led to believe, that initially in 2019 it was £25k then £35k in 2020 and £40k in 2021. lol again, it was 20k gbp in 2019. either that or my gallery mates did them over one. Maybe the difference is VAT that would make sense.

Warren Maynard , by singerstu on Feb 11, 2021 20:47:50 GMT 1, The front man calls himself Zapp P but his real name is Mohinder Panesar who has been disqualified as a director as a result in his previous involvement with Alexanda Hamilton Limited.
Do your own research, he has claimed to have done successful transactions with me but that’s not true.

If you are in the UK don’t get too excited it’s likely to sit in customs for months. Apparently UPS did not know about Brexit.

Banksy Cushions Gross Domestic Product™, by singerstu on Feb 8, 2021 15:17:56 GMT 1, I will give my view just a guess prices assuming you will be guaranteed the COA (Which is of course not possible)
- Flower Thrower Print £225-250K
- Basquait (Grey / Black) £110-125k
- Rat Clock £120-160k
- Met Ball £120-160k
- Drones (Duck and Cover) £110-125k
- Early Learning Set £110-125K
- Spray Can 30-35p
Hi. Thanks for all of the responses, messages and offers. For the low ballers, sorry if I did not respond to your messages but the offers couldn’t have been serious and really didn’t deserve a response. Cushions are now sold, pending payment. Thanks again for the interest! More limited and unlimited GDP items are available and might be listed in the future so stay tuned :-) Do you have all these below? There was a few pieces on your list already sold in auction and private. ----------------- I am sorry if this has been discussed before and wasn’t sure where to post this (so also posted this to the Artwork Valuation and GDP thread). I also realize that no one knows the answer yet because none of pieces of hit the market, but I wanted to get your opinion on the secondary market prices of the following GDP pieces: - Flower Thrower Print - Basquait (Grey / Black) - Rat Clock - Met Ball - Drones (Duck and Cover) - Early Learning Set - Spray Can Which piece(s) do you think will be worth the most? Are the prints worth more than the sculpture pieces like the Clock and Ball in the long run? Thanks in advance for your opinion and info! - Cate

Banksy Cushions Gross Domestic Product™, by singerstu on Feb 5, 2021 19:54:44 GMT 1, I got some cushions for sale too, paperwork trail and all is super air tight! They are from ikea. Sorry couldnt help myself! Honestly, since the spray can’s paper trail was faked a little while back, going forward the difficulty will continue to be in proving the GDP items are authentic. That uncertainty will shut out a chunk of buyers but at the end you only one. GLwTs They must be fake the GDP ones have a Dunelm label in them

Forum Auctions • Banksy Marketplace 🇬🇧, by singerstu on Jan 27, 2021 15:38:20 GMT 1, OK .. Perhaps there is a simple answer to this ? Why do auction catalogues/houses Not put condition descriptors as part of each Artwork? I would guess so they know who is asking for a condition report.

Flattening Prints • Creased, Folded, Rolled or Rippled , by singerstu on Jan 24, 2021 18:40:12 GMT 1, It’s certainly not a stupid question. By just putting weights on the prints is never going to get them flat. There are several paper conservers and they have pressing methods. Whether it’s worth spending the money I am not sure.
I don’t know a lot about the methods they use but I am sure there will be members on here that will know more.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by singerstu on Jan 23, 2021 18:52:56 GMT 1, Probably my favorite B image. That looks mint too - very decent buy for someone who wants to add an all time classic to their collection. Curious - do DN's add any value to basic edition prints? GLWTS This has been debated several times and while it should not make any difference just the fact that the term AP is used nowadays seems to attract attention.
There was a placard rat in auction at the end of last year described just as an AP when I believe it was a DNAP and that went for a lot more than expected.
I agree Happy Choppers is a real grail piece.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by singerstu on Jan 20, 2021 14:00:51 GMT 1, Ok for the most iconic, but the flower thrower (LIITA) is the 2nd most iconic 😅 Yep, but just don't set such high expectations, it will only lead to disappointment. 'Without COA £250k (risking a lot) and for you the real price with COA is £265k? 🤔 I think much more with COA (£700k)' For comparison, Sale Ends V2 were changing hands for about £15k without Coa. A year later with Coa's they were selling for about £17-£18k. Spot on with Sale Ends but now they are changing hands in the region of +/-£65K. If an U/S Litta ed 500 is over £200k (Maybe a bit less) then the signed Thrower Tryptic ed 300 with COA after the sales rush dries up must be at least double that and maybe more.
I guess we will only know when we read this tread in 2-3 years time.

Banksy Rat Clock, Gross Domestic Product™, by singerstu on Jan 17, 2021 12:47:12 GMT 1, I can't believe that people are questioning this guys decision to frame his clock....it looks great and LITERALLY comes with advise on getting it framed! Everyone has their own view and that’s fine. Personally I prefer them unframed. The advice from GDP is replace the glass but nowhere do they advise the get it framed as far as I can see.

Sale ends v2 signed , by singerstu on Jan 13, 2021 13:41:38 GMT 1, How funny. Was just looking at what these are worth now. I’m not selling mine but hard to value anything banksy these days. Thoughts on price? I'd say about GBP 55K Hasn't been one in auction for a while. Could go higher in a 2021 auction. Everyone expects prices to rise. So nobody sells. Scarcity occurs...... and prices rise. Not selling mine either. LOL I think the ship has sailed on a Sale Ends V2 at £55k

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by singerstu on Jan 13, 2021 13:39:57 GMT 1, Also any items on Value of Tesco petrol bomb and back door prints? if you are in the uk goto loveartinsurance.co.uk for your insurance query I just renewed with them before xmas and all was done very quickly and depending on what items you have and the value it can all be done online. In the end up i spoke to them and they were helpful and indeed very knowledgeable on the current market. Petrol Bomb sold on here the other day and funnily enough there are a couple of threads on the same item so there is plenty info. Backdoor prints are worth more to the owner than what a buyer will pay you. Looking at their site loveartinsurance.co.uk is part of Brownhill Insurance Group so they seem to be one and the same.
I suspect this year we will all be looking at our Art Insurance cost a bit closer.

Banksy Rat Clock, Gross Domestic Product™, by singerstu on Dec 24, 2020 20:45:48 GMT 1,
Except nobody wipes their feet on a clock (welcome mat) or sits on a clock (cushions) or wears a clock (t-shirt).
It's quite literally a ready to hang, ready framed artwork.
Still, each to their own and all that shit...
Flys still land and sh1t on clocks, don't they? Clocks are still affected by condensation, steam, smoke and dust aren't they? An ball accidentally thrown at a clock could crack the glass, couldn't it? It's like the flipping twilight zone on here sometimes. The guy's taking good care of a valuable item. It's the responsible thing to do. Why would anyone be even remotely critical of that approach? Each to their own. However to be fair the clock is different to anything else. If you are fortunate to get one from what I have seen the instructions are to replace the existing glass with Museum or UV Glass effectively creating a frame for the artwork which essentially is the rat.
Personally I don’t like the framing job, makes it look a bit untidy.

Banksy Goldfish, by singerstu on Dec 22, 2020 13:15:14 GMT 1, I understand Banksy needing to keep his team happy, but I wonder how against trading standards GDP is acting. Surely you cannot run operate a retail business that's full of false information and back handed selling? I suspect GDP have broken quite a few rules under UK trading standards, which are normally pretty tough. The issue is one of publishing misleading information. All the products were meant to be available to the public via a lottery/competition question. Some, but not all, limited edition prints and relatively lower valued items (mugs, T-shirts, cushions etc) have been allocated to members of the public via the lottery. The higher valued editioned originals appear to have been sold to mates, VIPs or existing customers only, contrary to the terms of the "so called" draw IMHO. The fact that there was no chance of winning the Goldfish Bowl or Tony Tiger wasn't made clear on the GDP site. A lot of people who followed the entry rules, myself included, wasted their single entry on an item that simply wasn't going to be allocated to a member of the public. No matter, life goes on. A lucky few (members of the public) did get a life changing prize, and the wealthy (VIPs and existing customers) keep on getting wealthier. I suppose high networth collectors don't need to sell so Banksy's art doesn't end up flooding the market. That has to be a good thing for both owners and the artist. Just remember if there is another draw in the future with a single entry per household and you want a chance of winning (however remote), it's probably best to target a lower value item. This takes me back many years to my law studies and the case of Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Co

Banksy Applause value, by singerstu on Dec 18, 2020 19:36:58 GMT 1, I think the LA is an unsigned edition of 100? Somewhere in the region of £40-45k? May be worth speaking to one of the Auction houses. There are a handful of signed LA versions, as indeed there are of all of the LA prints.
Correct me if I'm wrong about your business interest, but as a co-owner of a secondary market Banksy outfit, you really ought to be more familiar with your onions.
Steve you really should not be listening to Ali, he is giving you false information. Yes you are wrong.

Love is in the Air SIGNED at Christies on 3rd Dec, by singerstu on Dec 2, 2020 17:27:49 GMT 1, exactly. Christies says 50 signed, which would be new information. But, that hasn't been confirmed by them/PC, so shouldn't be taken as gospel. I thought it was a regular edition of 500 of which 100 were signed and 400 unsigned. And in addition there was an A/P edition of 27 all signed.
