WTB A0 Sleeves., by Martin M on Jan 25, 2011 15:02:06 GMT 1, « Result #9 on Jan 5, 2011, 9:09pm » www.mapac.com/art/
These guys make the A0 sleeves and portfolios to order, very helpful and good prices. They made me a AO portfolio for about £90 a few years back, i have about 10 sleeves in it and it keeps them safe but remember an AO portfolio is a huge thing and weighs a ton, so its not very portable.

VIP online art fair, by Martin M on Jan 25, 2011 12:05:07 GMT 1, Has anyone had a look at this new art fair idea on line, personally, it might be me but, i think the website is one of the most annoying websites i have ever been on. I think i`ll stick to going and having a look at art fairs in the flesh.

Hirst • Valium, by Martin M on Jan 21, 2011 21:35:08 GMT 1, One of Hirsts best spot prints without a doubt, so many got damaged because of that Fuji photo paper it was printed on, and a few had the dissapearing signiture because he swapped pens mid signing!. I saw one a few years ago with a perfect coffee cup stain on it...expensive mistake!!. Good luck with the trade. was it framed at purchase?. Could be tempted......

Help needed - Displaying my large prints, by Martin M on Jan 14, 2011 18:18:11 GMT 1, Selwyns sleeves are very nice, but you have to order 10 or so per order and they are a bit expensive. I got mine from a company called www.mapac.com/ if you call them they make them to order, you can order as many as you like and they are a lot cheaper than Selwyns. They also made me a case to put them in.

FS Nick Walker TMA New York, by Martin M on Dec 29, 2010 22:49:16 GMT 1, Hi Just taken down Nicks TMA New York and put up Faile`s Launch Tonight, can`t see Nick making it back on the wall so its up for sale. Framed exactly how it was framed at the London Art Fair, float mount, white frame, UV glass (£260.00). would prefer pick up from S. London, or could probably deliver in London for a drink. Haven`t seen one for sale in a while so offers maybe over 2K?. Please PM if interested.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Martin M on Nov 28, 2010 17:43:26 GMT 1, Crikey! A few years back my mum and her buddies (all 55+) camped out all night long in the freezing cold just to get hold of a ruddy Daniel O'Donnell concert ticket. Get a bloody grip people!

Funny you mention Daniel O`donnel, when we were queuing for the RCA postcard sale last week (in the freezing cold and voluntarily) there was a tiny queue of older folk across the way outside the Albert Hall - Daniel O`donnel tickets!!!
I will be down at POW for the queue if there is one, i hope its in SOHO as last years queue got a bit hairy during the small hours - preachers, fights, does anyone remember the drunk midgets!. anyhow I now have a nice NBG framed in my kids room. And i think everyone last year had a good time and were in good spirits, met a nice bunch of people along the way. Its all voluntary, i think last year one fella came from the states to queue.

Affordable Art Fair - London - 21-24th Oct, by Martin M on Sept 23, 2010 11:39:40 GMT 1, We go every year to the preview night which is a really good night, now its in Battersea Park its a really nice venue. Usual free drinks and good atmosphere. Lots of art to look at that is really affordable. A lot of the other art fair mob used to laugh at AAF in its early days, but i think its come an awfull long way. Its easy to get preview tickets from the participating galleries, just drop them a mail.

What do you regret buying the most ??, by Martin M on Sept 15, 2010 20:26:42 GMT 1, I queued up that night outside Laz, really fun night, i actually persauded two of my mates to part with £4700 as well, which they constantly remind me - i am now sacked as there art advisor!. Anyhow mine are framed and on the wall, they are really good prints, but most people around me were merely there to flip the next day, which they all did. they flooded and killed there own market. I still think Micallef is a brilliant artist.
Anyone want to buy a Adam Neate "Queens Special" - Giveaway price !!! £1245 or nearest offer!!!!
