RAMMELLZEE - COLLECTORS SET - KOFIE, POESIA, BARRAS, by sakyamuni on Jun 30, 2016 11:00:43 GMT 1, my experience with them is always the same: they produce great stuff but are totally disorganized and never ship on time.... but you always end up receiving what you ordered and some bonuses to make up for the long delay... So, yes, reliable, but with issues

New DRAN solo show 2016, by sakyamuni on Jun 24, 2016 13:31:57 GMT 1, thanks for your reply microfluo. It is good to have the opportunity to share views on an exhibition with other art lovers without arguing about prints, price hyping and other uninteresting topics...

New DRAN solo show 2016, by sakyamuni on Jun 24, 2016 10:36:58 GMT 1, I saw the exhibition last week and to be honest I was far from impressed. A lot of crap among the paintings, and very few interesting works. I think he should go back to drawings on paper/cardboard, on small formats, I am not too convinced by Dran as a painter, especially on large canvas . Overall a disappointing exhibition... Hi, just wanted to say that i agree when you said that among the paintings some where of less interest than the others. But some true gems have been showed as well... Picasso has painted 1 885 canvas, 1 228 sculptures, 2 880 ceramics, 7 089 drawings, 342 tapestries, and more than 30 000 prints...how many of those 50000 are true gems? I wished i had the cash and i'm still worried not to be more rich to fully enjoy my passion for this incredible artist...he's became now quite expensive for my little wallet ! I totally disagree when you said he should go back to drawing or past works!!! PAST is PAST...dran could earn loads of money drawing like that...but he had simply no interest doing so...he's not afraid to change what may be "bankable" for him...he paint what he want to paint...NOT WHAT YOU WANT HIM TO PAINT ! His unique style evolute with his mood and what he really wanted to tell us about his vision of our society with his unique regard... I'm happy to see an artist evoluting and not doing, or painting allways the same stuff again and again(as a lot of the "major actors" on the scene are doing)...IMO he has the touch of the Genius because, however he's painting or drawing, you can allways recognize his inimitable style and unique touch. By the way here is a picture of the print that kick myself up at the show...(was so excited at the opening night that i even forget to take my own picture, so thanks to adda for showing it) So totally different from the other boys showed because it was a wink to a fellow urban artist ! I can't wait to have it framed. Blobs by dran I get your point, and I am glad for Dran that he has such loyal follower. However, just to clarify, I did not say he should do the same thing all the time. My view is that he clearly lacks the skills and imagination to do more than what he did in the past. He tried with this show to be a painter and clearly he is not. Personally I don't see how these works are a new direction for him: most of these paintings are just the same thing he did earlier on small paper/cardboard. Painting them on large canvas does not turn them into amazing pieces of art. It just shows his limitations. He is free to do whatever he likes, I agree with that, but I think it should be reminded that there are some limitations, and showing very bad paintings at high prices does not make you a genius. Also putting Picasso and Dran in the same sentence should definitely be avoided... And to be clear, I liked Dran for years, enjoyed his books and still do. But I am not blind and what I saw in Brussels was a great disappointment. And I seriously doubt he can go on like this for a long time...

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by sakyamuni on Jun 22, 2016 0:03:14 GMT 1, what was the shipping charges to Europe from his last release via ebay? was anyone stung with customs? it was a bit weird, two seperate invoices, one including the relic with a shipping and handling charge of 12$ and another one of 92$ for international shipment and import taxes... total 104$.

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by sakyamuni on Jun 21, 2016 13:13:05 GMT 1, I have mixed feelings about this 50 decrease. I know it sounds exciting and of course we all think we will be able to grab one and watch others paying a lot to join the club... but on the other end, I am quite convinced that if he does it now, there is very little chance I'll get one, prices will go up after the release and many won't be able to get one, including me. I prefer to see his editions remaining accessible and decide which ones I want to buy than owning one or two and thinking it was a great deal when I watch the high prices on ebay... I think these edition relics are a great idea and they don't need the additional hype of rarity and instant jumping prices to have people talking about it. At least that's my view...
