Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Nov 27, 2021 17:23:15 GMT 1, I know what you mean Dahmer, at the start of the year I read very passively about NFTs, thinking I probably won't get involved. Now I own 6 damien hirst NFTs and 1 JR NFT and apart from trading for the originals I have no clue what I really own or what it's real value is. It's a nice problem to have, but I just wish I could understand the potential better, and the markets. Anyone who says they understand the market is lying. No one does. It's the wild wild west at the moment. Certain projects will be significant. 99.9999% are money grabs. I don't think Hirst will ever be as relevant in the NFT space as Punks or Apes. I could be totally wrong.
There are some people who understand the market. They are the ones controlling it....the rest of us get lucky, or not, as the case may be.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Nov 23, 2021 20:37:58 GMT 1, without sitting down and counting it looked liek its been 50/50 for the past month (way more than 22), with the frequency increasing as of late.. im sure someone has it all tracked nice and neat somewhere. i originally would have guessed 10% of these would have burned as this seems like a maybe 10k piece of art... now it looks liek a sizeable portion are taking the physical. just a bit surprising.. I'm not surprised at all. The NFTs have plummeted from the heady early days and show no sign of increasing again. I can see thousands being burned when we get closer to the cut off date. The Hirst NFT bubble has burst.
Just quoting you as I think you are probably wrong. No offence intended but have seen so many people make such remarks over the years and then lose a lot of money!

You have the wrong classification on here then, I think artists and galleries declare themselves so and then everyone knows they are dealing with. What is your gallery called?

Mr Jago - Adam, by Icesay on Nov 6, 2021 18:52:54 GMT 1, Hi all, after receiving some pointers price wise would accept £1100 plus postage for Adam and £800 plus postage for Sentinel. Both prints are in great condition. Happy to share photos if required. Can combine postage for both.

Mr Jago - Adam, by Icesay on Nov 5, 2021 19:10:14 GMT 1, Hi all, I'm considering selling, anyone able to shine a light on reasonable price? Not a lot to go on. Personally think it's one of his best but I have too many Jago prints now. Also have Sentinel which is also nice, if that is of interest. Based in UK.

Not sure about that....they actually look so much better than I thought they would. Absolutely worth the original price all things considered. If I hadn't bought one I think I'd be kicking myself.

Eelus 'Not everything is so black and white' skate board, by Icesay on Oct 19, 2021 20:40:49 GMT 1, I think everyone has missed the point that hanging a skate deck is wack! I'm a big fan and part time participant in surfing/skating but there is zero longevity in hanging on the wall. Looks sad as fook after a short time....OK for teenagers but def won't stand the test of time.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Oct 17, 2021 17:22:01 GMT 1, What I don't understand in the art vs NFT debate is, crypto punks etc are total shite in terms of aesthetics but command high prices. It appears to be built entirely on a perceived value and notoriety...how then does one understand the DH experiment as a recognised artist, when in theory his nft's should be 'worth' much more than most? I clearly am missing understanding what drives the NFT market and crypto currency in general. As an experiment, I do wish DH had provided more info so that I could understand exactly why I should stick with the NFT, pure speculation doesn't do it for me.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Oct 14, 2021 19:42:46 GMT 1, Just thought I'd comment....surely DH wants everyone to retain the nft not the physical work. There is no experiment with a physical work as the market for artwork settles relatively quickly for his work based on supply and demand. There clearly won't be that much demand for 10000 artworks. All the theatrics are about creating value in the nft. Experiment my arse...unless of course people value his art more than money. Having read discord and watched videos, it's clear to me that the performance is what is interesting to DH. Of course you have to be stinking rich to really appreciate it.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Oct 13, 2021 22:28:25 GMT 1, Someone is definitely going on a spending spree (buying 13 in last hour - all under $30k) before the swap for physicals start tomorrow.
What buying 13 on the 13th?

Oli Epp 🇬🇧 Post-Digital Pop • New Painting • Art For Sale, by Icesay on Oct 13, 2021 19:40:12 GMT 1, He never stopped rising , I think people on this forum judge print prices as an indicator of success. The contempoary art world cares little for prints.. Go big canvas or go home
Tru... but prints are the accessible version for many people. I have been thinking a lot in the last few months that prints have become little more than Athena posters. I'm in the process of totally reevaluating my collection. I do wonder if the print market has become saturated.

Oli Epp 🇬🇧 Post-Digital Pop • New Painting • Art For Sale, by Icesay on Oct 13, 2021 18:47:19 GMT 1, Easily identifiable, check. Blue-chip investment, check. Recent strong auction results, check. Can actually paint, check. Don't listen to lowballers, Epp is back on the rise after early flipper/speculators pumped and dumped. He's the newish Jo Brooks / Stik / Banksy product model.

Complete nonsense The value of 150 new customers when you can sell out your product 100 x over is irrelevant The future value of the works and the market is key

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Icesay on Oct 12, 2021 19:31:55 GMT 1, I hope Invader looks at previous purchases and allocates prints based on customer loyalty 🙏 100% will do Hence the 5 days to hear back once 48 hours are up I would guess a random element but these will also be well placed I would bet.

Like what you did here...Black frame, white background is banging!

Jose Parla • The Founders, by Icesay on Oct 1, 2021 19:59:36 GMT 1, Also confused about no resale agreement...why would you have that on a timed release given anyone can buy? Biggest question is how they would track it, guess the best way would be to upload the coa as an nft. And write on the backside that the nft must follow to be considered authentic, would make it possible to burn traded nft’s (or perhaps even lock for trading during 2 years?). Think it’s a reasonable agreement when selling a timed print at this price, it’s a fantastic and generous opportunity for everybody that want a parla on their wall and should not be exploited by flippers.
