Banksy Raffle โข Dismaland Refugee Boat, by Henry Gale Was Here on Jan 4, 2019 20:53:19 GMT 1, Maybe my math is wrong, but isn't 11692 grams closer to 11692.2 grams than 11692.2 +/- 0.49 grams??
I don't recall it being necessary to enter milligrams, just if you wanted to.

Was 2018 the year that killed Street Art collecting?, by Henry Gale Was Here on Dec 10, 2018 23:04:50 GMT 1, In a short space of time Iโve found myself moving from the street art scene to more contemporary art. Thereโs some good street art out there but Iโve never been that convinced it translates that well away from it. A lot of the art on here being discussed / sold is a long way from street art.. Pejac, Harland, shrigley etc. Kaws whilst starting as street is now fully contemporary for me. So Iโm conclusion yes, yes itโs dead ๐ I agree and have also moved onto contemporary art. It would be nice to have a new subset created in this forum for contemp art or a name change so we don't all feel the restraint of the UAA moniker Have you checked out The Artchival proboards (artchival dot proboards dot com- I don't know why the link doesn't show up)? I used to browse there but haven't for awhile, that forum dealt more with contemporary art (Lucien Smith, Nick Darmstaedter, etc.).

Pejac - Love Letter, by Henry Gale Was Here on Dec 6, 2018 18:35:09 GMT 1, Love it or not, I'm confused about why everybody's dinging the fact that it's "just an envelope". Prints are "just pieces of paper" too. How is it any different? It's all the same. Ding ding ding we have a winner. How many envelopes do you guys have framed up on your walls?

Pejac - Love Letter, by Henry Gale Was Here on Dec 5, 2018 21:50:21 GMT 1, Oh how I miss the times people bought art because they like the art itself. In this day and age, where people insert themselves as an unneeded middle-man in releases just to profit from something they have no interest in helps drive the worst elements of this forum. The discussion about works typically devolve into some "predetermined" worth and the potential to increase in value. Some of us here buy art to look at and enjoy. For those of us, it comes down to do I like the art for the price offered. Perhaps some of you may have missed the point that by doing a timed edition, everyone who wants one at that price can get one. For those who are not interested in the work because of the work itself or the price or edition size, why do you think any of us care about your opinion? If it didn't have Pejac's name on it, no one would be buying this fancy envelope for ยฃ600, no matter how much they "just like the art itself".

David Shrigley Particles of Truth, by Henry Gale Was Here on Nov 30, 2018 19:02:55 GMT 1, Shrigley has never needed hype. Why? Honest question. Is he an OG triple OG or something? Groomed by a famous gallery? Just trying to understand why David Shrigley is "famous" and not Shirley David from Etsy...
Same with that guy who's art is naked people pissing on stuff and looks like it was purposefully made in MS Paint (not Mr Brainwash), forgot his name but saw some hype for it.
Philip Gerald, that's the guy...
Totally worth ยฃ300... wtf???

Echo in the Night, by Henry Gale Was Here on Nov 9, 2018 16:50:45 GMT 1, Yeah they don't state it, but the majority of their prints (including the ones you listed) are giclees which are screen-printed on top.
Nope. โThe majority of their prints(...) are giclees...โ That is an incorrect statement. I may be wrong, but I think the only other inkjets were the Monsters of Spin and Driving Miss Crazy. I do not own Monsters, but I believe that the background spin ร la Hirst was Giclee with screens and stuff on top. As for Driving Miss Crazy, the car background was inkjet with diamond dust on top: But back to the topic.... Why would they add Inkjet to a print that has inkjet and not the.... You know what? Nevermind. Iโll ask Miss myself. To be continued...
I'm pretty sure all the cartoon characters in their recent pieces are ink jet. They're not CMYK screen printed, and if they were spot color screen printed, there would be a LOT more screen printed layers than they mention. Still look amazing though!

Jerkface has always explored different concepts - yes His main theme is repetition and symmetry but he still rearranges parts of stand alone characters. I can assure you He's never heard of the above mentioned. Infact many pop artist seem inspired by Him. LOL, his "style" is everywhere, especially NY. No different than Kaws or these guys

Now there will be 150 more, only giclee no screenprinting, the Whatson part was already done before (scanned/giclee'd) so no extra work on that part, just pop in the Pez and now they're ยฃ650.
Yeesh.

Some people will eat up anything...

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by Henry Gale Was Here on Jun 19, 2018 15:14:18 GMT 1, I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I thought I had someone in Paris who could buy a lottery ticket for me but that fell through- they're not going to be around.
If some kind soul is going to the show and doesn't mind buying me a lottery ticket (I'm in the US), I would be most appreciative and will compensate you for your time and hassle. Please PM me if you would be able to pick up an extra lottery ticket, thanks!
edit: thanks to the kind soul who just volunteered to help me out, much appreciated!!
