When he stood on the ledge, I was on the edge of my seat.
I also thought he was screwed when he started spinning. I half expected the screen to go dead, as I do know there was a delay so they could cut it, if anything went wrong.
Incredible stuff.

Wasn't around for moon landings but may be a similar buzz? Made me think of The Abyss when he was just drifting down. Can't believe he landed like normal...crazy! The test pilot who helped train him must have been stoked too.

I can not imagine how that would be even possible with the technology back than?!.. he was the guy that was communicating with Felix from the ground, helping him to break his records..
interesting trivia - apparently his right glove malfunctioned during the ascent (it ripped, but he didnt wanna say it cause he was afraid they're gonna cancel the mission?!), and his right hand swelled up to twice its normal size during the jump..
