I've recently bought a ronzo print and should hopefully having an Eelus arriving shortly.
I've had a look through the forum and I'm not confident enough to frame them myselves. My Dad had his Grin Reaper framed at art republic and it looks really good but I know a few people have said they can be quite expensive.
Can any one recommend any framers in the Sussex/Surrey area? anywhere between Brighton and Guildford really, thanks

I've also had a few done in Naked Eye gallery in Hove, check my Micallef 'Angel Bombers' in the get your banksys out thread....

I started using him about 18months ago after he framed a (test to see how good he was) piece so well for me. He got 9 more straight afterwards based on how pleased I was. I take everything to him now!! I would trust him implicitly to do a fantastic job. Recently picked up 6 more pieces he framed for me in various different framing styles and once again I was over the moon with what he'd done. He can get hold of virtually any framing material & other needs. Does a blinding job exactly as you brief him. His framing workshop is open 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Not sure where they've been before to be honest, just a couple of local framers in the hove area I believe. I'll let them know your recommendation though, thanks!

Taylor Made Frames in Preston Road. Lee is an excellent framer. Use him regularly and he does a great job on everything I give him to do. I drive all the way from London to take pieces to him, as he does such a good job for me !

Brighton has a lot of galleries that will frame such as art republic,but if we are talking expensive then mr framerman does collection. Can only suggest London for top end. Not a fan of PFG but some are on here. John James another.

Depends what your definition of “fair pricing” means? In this aspect of showing off artwork you get what you pay for. If you want Japanese / rice paper hinging with closed corner box frames then you’re going to have to be prepared to pay accordingly. If you’re happy with what almost all framers will claim as “conservation framing” then best of luck. I have yet to chat to anyone in Brighton who can offer me the peace of mind and workmanship that a number of outfits in london can offer me. It’s annoying as I’d prefer not to travel as it’s a hassle carting large framed prints between London and Brighton but it’s all worth it once home. Reputation counts for a hell of a lot and reputable framers have no reason to cut corners.
You can start with emailing Darbyshire, Frame London and Traeger Cowling (ex Darbyshire) Pauli frames.
If these guys are out of the price range then go with MR FM and make an effort to drive within his catchment area.

I did this, sought quotes from the suggested 'London Framers' plus one or two others, same three prints - all wanting the exact same framing options. Prices varied, but 'London' was upwards of £150 more, per print - if you're framing several a year, this quickly adds up.
There's several good recommendations on this thread, work out what you want and speak to all and then decide
