Missus and me friendly original artworks. , by saint on Oct 16, 2012 15:02:02 GMT 1, Recently we (she) has decided that lot of my art isn't right, and we (she) has decided it has to be sold.
Obviously being into art and a collector at heart, I am pretty fucking unhappy about this!
Saying that, some pieces i don't mind sacrificing, so that others can stay, and I have got away with keeping a few bits and bobs as others have left (blek canvas is now not going anywhere, kudos me).
Anyways, with the walls looking empty, I am now searching for some new stuff, that both I and her like.
This is new for me, as normally i buy what i like, and i like people who paint weird shit on walls, ala phlegm, blu, liqen, escif etc. Whereas she likes colourful stuff....
So, can anyone point me in the direction of artists that they think both me and her would like? And give me an idea of how much i can expect to pay for original work?

£50 thread is ALWAYS good as a starting point then perhaps follow the artists via facebook for originals

Carls work is great, and fantastic to see him doing so well atm, I might show her some work and see what the vibe is.
We have discussed Steve powers work, but she's not into it for some reason? I love it tho. Ill have a look through the other artists work and see what I think. I really want her to be into Kevin petersons work, but alas she ain't....

I love Kevin Peterson's work, I own one piece and will own more, just have to buy smaller bits and bobs and hope she doesnt notice.....
Brin Levinson is also one i love, but he paints in quite muted tones (amazing stuff tho) so she's not into it. Which is a shame, cos he's great imo.
