Black Rat Press • Black Rat Projects, by irf2112 on Mar 9, 2007 19:48:42 GMT 1, I got a Blek from tlsg and it came in between 2 pieces of thick plywood. The bits of wood are great for flattening out other prints.

Black Rat Press • Black Rat Projects, by neutral on Mar 18, 2007 16:15:59 GMT 1, Yes I do. Or even the .com that bounce back on the .co.uk It probably has something to do with my ISP as it was fine before. But really weird tho. Still wonder if I am alone in that case? Thank you for your help.

Black Rat Press • Black Rat Projects, by irf2112 on Jun 15, 2007 15:13:16 GMT 1, We all love your prints but would it be possible to do a sub £100 print (even as a 1 off). I know you guys are the best printers in town - but it would be nice for all to see your print quality....

Black Rat Press • Black Rat Projects, by ahamil on Mar 21, 2007 19:17:37 GMT 1,
just got sent this thought id put it up. sure youve all read already
You are receiving this newsletter as you have subscribed to receive emails from The Black Rat Press Ltd
Dear
This Newsletter woke up late this morning, stubbed its toe on the stairs and spilt its coffee over the cat.
The Eleven Exhibition, Leonard Street, Opening Night
So we krumped, we clowned. We spilled out onto the streets, but realised it was raining and spilled back in again. We did the slide, the electric boogalo. Sarah performed her experimental jazz tap, Mike threw in the tango, Nick did the polka, and Dominic mashed it up big style, throwing shapes over in the corner by the Swoons. Slinkachu contined his Honey I Shrunk The Art project, D*Face and Eine ghosted through looking for beer, Elbowtoe was tall, Judith Supine was taller, Blek was French, and Matt Small was very, very, drunk. So drunk in fact that even boffins using computers have failed to come up with a graph that adequately charts just how drunk he was.
Occasionally people tried interrupting us to try and buy some of the artwork, but we shooed them away and carried on ecstatic urban dance moves. Then we remembered we were working on commission and stopped and sold them some artwork. But were really street about it.
New Prints Due Out In No particular Order (except they will be in this order)
Blek Le Rat D*Face Logan Hicks Matt Small
A Quick, Factual Note About The Blek Le Rat print, Dream But Don’t Sleep, While This Newsletter Has a Brief Moment of Coffee-based Lucidity
We have a striking new Blek edition, due out sometime over the next two weeks. These prints will be sold mostly as a set of 4 colourways. From the edition of 30, 5 will be broken down and sold individually.
And Now Some More Rambling
D*Face’s Dead Che is perhaps the highest quality screenprint we’ve made yet. The colours are so rich they’ve got their own spot on the Sunday Times Rich List, just behind JK Rowling. It’s all vibrant reds, bible blacks and sundrenched yellows. And if that wasn’t enough we’ve gilded the lily with a real gold leaf insignia on Che’s remarkably well preserved beret.
In fact, between you and me, the print is so good we’re a little worried about the printers. We can’t help feeling it’s slightly too well made, if you know what we mean. We’re worried they’re throwing themselves into their work and nelgecting their homelife. We’re all for dedication and stunning varnish finishes, but what about the family? What if the kids can’t remember what daddy looks like anymore and their wives have started coming home drunk at four, smeary with drink, in the morning in a vain hope of making their obsessive printer husbands jealous. Only to find their husbands, the printers, passed out in the paint-spattered overalls at the foot of the stairs, murmuring something about perfecting the William Morris-esque blood red skyline for the Logan Hicks?
So, if you have any shred of decency you won’t buy the new set of Bleks, nor the new D*Face, nor the upcoming Logan Hicks, or the stunning new Matt Small we have secretly planned for next month. Instead you’ll write to the printers and demand that they drop their ridiculously high standards. Tell them to forget about Black Rat Press for a day or two. Tell them to go home, get some sleep, take the kids out to Chessington World of Adventures and tell your wives you love them and that they still look as beautiful as the first time you saw them – even though the first time they actually saw their wives they were slumped messily against their hotel room door at their sister’s wedding reception, hiccuping softly and turning their bags inside-out to try and find their keys before they threw up right there in the hall.
A Word on The Last D*Face
We apologise to anyone who missed out on the last D*Face which, as you know, was painstakingly etched, and hand-coloured and sold out in under half an hour. The demand was so high it crashed the system. Which was great. Because we all k now you’re not a real street art publishing house until your ordering system has melted at least once.
We Don’t Mean to Keep Talking About D*Face, But…

Black Rat Press • Black Rat Projects, by corblimeylimey on Mar 21, 2007 19:30:27 GMT 1, I'm on their mailing list and I haven't received that yet so thanks ahamil.
Not sure I'm going to be able to afford the Bleks particularly if they're sold in a set, bound to be pricey, we'll see. I'm looking forward to seeing David with Kalashnikoff as a print.
Anyone know if there's a pic of Dream Without Sleep available anywhere (obviously not of the print but on the street or canvas or something)
