The latest thing I heard from a reliable source was that ALLEGEDLY the gallery management over-hyped an artist to its OWN employees saying that in a month or so her prices will be sky rocketing and convinced them all to buy a piece before her prices went through the roof...some of the employees where just kids fresh out of art college. Pretty much all of them bought something and told their families to buy something - as it was a sure bet. ALLEGEDLY completing the trifecta...conning punters, artists & employees. ALLEGEDLY
