F/S Faile - Strange Encounters, by ambrosiabaptism on Oct 12, 2007 23:26:19 GMT 1, sorry to jump on a thread
but
Allowing that this print run was large for Faile (small for major artists though), could this not be seen a 'historical piece' due to the fact that it has such a strong link to Banksy?
just curious?
P.S. anyone want to part with their sepia and pink colour way

"A historical piece (!) with a strong (?) link to Banksy" Thats the best marketing patter I've heard for a while. Are you a real estate agent per chance ambrosia?

F/S Faile - Strange Encounters, by pezlow on Oct 13, 2007 8:33:27 GMT 1, Although this is a large run I personally think it is a keeper. It is well printed and is a great image. Now that the initial flood of these prints has disappeared from the bay those two offers to sell at cost are very generous.

Disagree. It's true they not as special as NY versions /they look somewhat flat/. However those 3 hand sprayed prints are special. As for SE it looks much better in flesh: excellent paper, morons background, interesting image. I think that for the cost price is a good buy-as long as you like it. As for NY editions they are absolutely awesome but you will have to pay a lot these days to get full colored-multi layered prints.

It's that usual print thing - it is so much better in the flesh. And it's a good buy if you like it and want it. Or do you mean good investment?
No, it's not a sub 20 print but then I'd love to know where you're shopping to get one for 1k usd secondary market...
Hope the above doesn't sound arsey, just my 2p (4c?)

F/S Faile - Strange Encounters, by pezlow on Oct 13, 2007 10:39:47 GMT 1, Don't forget that these were prints in new york so they are different from the other POW faile prints. There is some texture though, although admittedly they don't have the thickly applied paint or the spashes of coffee and tea. But isn't it mostly about the image? IMHO this is a really great image.

hee hee . Nop not a sales man I have mine and I'm keeping it. Just wanted to throw it open to the forum and see what others felt about the longevity and impact that Banksy actually has on the art history, the market and to Banksy fans.
