treating my artwork poorly, by b1470 on Nov 16, 2012 12:20:41 GMT 1, Hello, I store my art in flat files. When I receive prints, I flatten and put in the fixture.I don't use any layers of paper protection ( i know...) in between prints. I have some Murakami stuff from Japan and they were mailed flat completely on cardboard secured by tissue paper. They packed it well.Question is do I leave them in packaging or put them in flat file. I am getting concerned over the humidity/moisture in my house and concerned the art is vulnerable in either supposed secure way. Would it be overkill to get( waste $) on a portfolio with acid sheets and then secure in flatfiles? Any comparable experiences with your art care? Thank you
