If so then I'll offer you the original price of each as I unfortunatly missed out to baggers in the queue who bought them and have since sold them on.

* Couple of Micallef's for sale* , by badboi on Oct 16, 2007 12:22:22 GMT 1, Ha ha. I have received -4 respect points since my earlier comment (now -5). It amuses me how a lot of the members who make regular posts on this forum are always moaning how people are baggars and flippers for buying and selling prints quickly (probably when they missed out themselves), but then are often more than happy to sell their new prints themselves at a profit but don't like it when they are branded the same. I've nothing against people trying to make money on the prints as long as they admit it and don't go around bitching about other members who do it. Its all very hypocritical. In the current climate of baggers, flippers and people fighting for places in queues, then I think it is slightly wrong when a prominent member of this forum starts selling brand new prints at a profit himself. Anyone agree with me, then give me some +1 repect points even if your friends of the said culprit. They will never know ;-) If you all think bagging/flipping is fine and I am totally out of order then fire away, shoot me down with some -1 respect points.
Now this should be interesting...

I've not negged you, nor will I do so. But surely if Lesroy is a flipper he'd wait a bit longer to sell, or he would have sold them earlier. As it stands he may well lose money on these prints.
Collecting prints is an expensive business and I don't think anyone who went to Laz would have turned down the chance to buy all four... I've no issue if people sell a few things to buy/fund others.

He can whipe his arse with them or sell them for 10k each, I couldn't give a toss. This whole flipping and bagging argument is getting very boring.

here you go +1... not directed at Lesroy.. but after the slagging Laz got for customer service etc etc.. well, why give good service to people you know are gonna immediately stick your wares on ebay in the hope of making a profit. It's just tough luck.. personally i think these will drop even further quite quickly. Same for the POW print.. 1000 edition ! The loyalty and love for owning a Mic isn't close to that of a Banksy..hence people eventually offloading the Laz Mic's.
Anyone who bought all 4 of those prints did so for one reason... maybe keep 1 or 2 and flip the rest.. there's no way I'd give wall space to all four.. they'd dominate the space far too much and much better works would have to be relegated to under the bed.
Respect to anyone who bought 1 or 2 to hang.

* Couple of Micallef's for sale* , by stuey09 on Oct 16, 2007 13:09:28 GMT 1, Don't fall into any categary there Nu. Bought 3; Hung one which is in Get your Banksy's out, and the other 2 were given at cost to respected forum members who couldn't make it and I thoroughly trust not to take the piss.
I'm not going to get carried away with those who bought these 4 for flipping. If they were prepared to queue all evening, night and morning to buy them then fair play for their effort. However, if they get their fingers burned due to a depressed market, then equally I have little sympathy too. I think it is called polite indifference.

* Couple of Micallef's for sale* , by endtimes on Oct 16, 2007 15:11:31 GMT 1, That Laz queue was the beginning of the end in my opinion and I bet it will be the last one like that. Except if a Banksy print is released that way, ...maybe.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the new Laz prints drop below retail too. I own one so I'm not excited to see that. If they were and edition of 200 I think they'd hold their value but there are too many. Still, I like the Minotaur print more than anything except 21cl of course. But not only the new Laz prints getting real soft in price but I see that these sold for
HFUNG ยฃ2700 SMS ยฃ1600 Ang Bomber 1 ยฃ920 Ang Bomber 2 ยฃ920 Slf Portrait 1 ยฃ1000 Slf Portrait 2 ยฃ1000
...ouch
actually these prices are way off their highs but still a lot higher than they were a couple months ago and I'd still be leary about buying anything now.

However, before any of you get high and mighty on me. You will, of course, have noticed that I listed the prints at ยฃ1 with NO RESERVE... hence I am putting them out for someone to get hold of that couldn't make it to Laz... Its not as though I have a Buy it Now set in the profit margin is it?
I bought the prints and I managed to get a Neate so I am selling these to help fund... you decide if Im a bagger or not.
Kind regards, as ever,
Les

* Couple of Micallef's for sale* , by ABC on Oct 18, 2007 21:59:35 GMT 1, We have all sold (Well most) at least one print for a profit, so if that makes me a bagger so be it, I don't care. Id say a real bagger is someone who will buy every print for sale by artists they know nothing about then sell them before the supplier has even dispatched. And believe me I've spoken to many people over the years, In Galleries etc etc (some members of this forum) who knew nothing about art and didn't care for it. all they were interested in was the money, they were not gallery owners as you have to have passion towards art to make a successful career from it.
