Like that theory cant be used for 99% of the stuff this scene produces  . I think the pirate works are quality.

I can imagine the sh!tstorm if even the slightest bit of glitter fell off one of these, people would be falling over themselves to return them and slam POW

Ok, some turn up damaged and should be replaced, but some of the threads and pictures on here of supposed damage to Banksy prints have been laughable.

Probably due to seeing it and not beeing bothered about buying it, its backfired.
Now I would not say, its written off.
They are obviously working very hard to get this print right, so I would imagine it will look amazing when its released.
