POW were using an external print team/company but since the basement was restorated at POW's Commercial St site I thought they were trying to produce their prints in-house again now....Which could explain the problems?

Or something to that effect. I guess technology has not come as far as they had hoped.
Oh well. Hope it gets sorted and they make 10,000 or so, so everyone who wants one can get one. But likely it will be a smallish run and a lot of us will be disappointed.

That's a good point. I've got the silver and it's beautiful in the flesh. A lot more glitter on it than will be used on the Banksy too. Unless its going to be life size!

Many of us are loyal customers that have purchased items from them for many years. Wouldn't it just be easier for them to say on their web site that the print is not ready as of 3/3/12 and it will be available on April 15th or some other specific date. I am sure they can resolve the their glitter problem in the next 45 days. I can understand this game be played by P.O.W with some of their other artists that are still trying to establish themselves and create some marketing hype - but Banksy would sell out immediately no matter what he offers for sale. Some of you guys are willing to sleep outside for days for this print, the least they can do is have a little courtesy towards the real Banksy fans out there.

I'd suggest Banksy has some promotional work to do, maybe even a show before making a release. the glitter thing sounds like an excuse to me. With the olympics on site in the summer I'd be very surprised if Hackney and surrounding areas aren't festooned with Street Art and shows.
And, advising us of a release date well in advance is like asking for a Dale Farm sized camp on your front door. Never gonna happen dudes....

If they were close to getting it sorted they would have probably waited on the postponement announcement until they could release a new date/month/season/year.
And if it was early April or something we would probably be seeing more hype / coincidental street pieces by now. Reckon its another December release myself!
