Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by Ottomatik on Jul 12, 2012 18:41:38 GMT 1, Who cares! There are much more amazing prints out there! If you need a POW print with glitter, search for a Kelsey Brooke's YA print. (1.8years old, and my glitter is still attached!)

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by gibbin82 on Jul 12, 2012 22:43:36 GMT 1, I seem to be one of the few who would quite like to see this released (although I expect I would never be lucky enough to get one), however I think the delay between the announcement of it being the next print and the planned release date did it no favours. In the past the latest Banksy print had little or no thinking and debating time and on the actual release the excitement of a new image (and unfortunately in many cases the chance of a fat profit) made each one a must have item and announced as a classic, even when it didn't really live up to the tag and was not as good as some of Banksys best. I believe that if the gorilla print had been released within a week of us knowing what it was going to look like, the vast majority of post would be be saying what a great print it was and in time it may have even became one of the 'real' classics with the GWB's, Nolas and Grin Reapers.

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by Deleted on Jul 12, 2012 22:47:53 GMT 1, The muted Banksy Gorilla had the desired effect by getting everyone excited and checking POW, heading to the annual shows etc... Job done without needing to milk the cash cow.
Go ape or go home!

I have the gut feeling that he won't. And sometimes I think it would be the best this way. Everybody would focus on his street pieces again, no more $$$...

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by Deleted on Jul 13, 2012 23:59:01 GMT 1, I should think they must have a list of so many special customers now that they don't really need to do a normal release like we all know and love Maybe the first we will ever seen of it will be when one appears at auction or in Hello magazine on the wall of Jason Donovan's new apartment
Jason Donovan? can he afford an apartment? doesnt he live in a box somewhere?.

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by Daniel Silk on Jul 16, 2012 23:01:42 GMT 1, I don't think these big gaps between Banksy print releases is good for him I would say a max time of 6 months between print releases just about keeps things ticking over nice for his fans. I think that any longer than 6 months and people start to get frustrated and start drifting off and move on to other Artists, so bad for Banksy but maybe good for the scene?

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by 11 on Jul 17, 2012 8:19:50 GMT 1, I would be amazed if there isn't something happening in the next couple of weeks - with the worlds eyes on London it would be an excellent opportunity to lay down some new stuff - maybe even have a full blown show!! There's been so much going on with the economy, government, police, Olympic committee, Transport etc etc that it really would be a bit disappointing if it became a non-event for the urban art scene. After all, most of the Olympics is on the door step of the street art scene with some fantastic pieces in the area- if they don't all get whitewashed.....
