Just got an email from Poster Child Prints. It seems they had some issues with a release today (server meltdown, blah, blah...), and, they've decided to go down the exactly same route as Faile did for the Heartbreak/Saved release to remedy the situation. It seems other publishers have taken notice. Faile did well to come up with the system - hopefully others will follow suit? It could be the future!

The email "first come first served" / lottery release system is not a new concept and is not something faile "came up with"
Many others have used it including POW for a couple banksy releases.

I was on the Faile site the second it dropped and pasted my details to save time, but the server kept crashing and in the end my mail didn't go through till 5 minutes past putting me way out of contention! Yes this may be a better system but I think the email system is a lot more fair and takes out web pages crashing, just a point of view
