I walked passed the obey clothing store today & it was dead.
One assistant bored lying across the desk with nothing to do.
The Obey machine musta noticed & released a print drop to spark interest in the merchandise.Call it secret if you like.
Isn't shep selling anti corporate prints etc in a corporate fashion.
All IMHO obviously but i'm getting confused here.

surprised the store was dead as im seeing the obey brand everywhere at the moment. most of the people that wear it couldnt tell you who fairey is though, imagine the overlap between the buyers of his art and the buyers of obey brand clothing is surprisingly small... also imagine at this stage he has very little to do with the output of the clothing label
will always have a soft spot for fairey as his affordable editions are what got me into collecting, doubt i'm the only one either. still think it's great that he does these signed $50 posters despite hitting it big. i think the propaganda angle is what gets him a pass on the whole mass production thing. it's a machine like you say, but isn't that the whole idea?
