POW Pictures on Walls, by Viva Hate on Feb 5, 2007 18:35:06 GMT 1, I have just noticed something which is quite concerning, after buying 2 prints, I went back and still had 2 prints in my basket which were the same print number. I checked these items out of the basket and they became available again. Bugger.

POW Pictures on Walls, by Run Pig Run on Feb 5, 2007 18:42:36 GMT 1, btw, if you are buying a print remember to save and/or print out the receipt page and the end of the order as the email conformation doesn't describe what you've bought, just the ref. no.

Oh well, I'll just have to wait until the rest of the Banksy's go on sale but I hope POW try the lottery method I think I might stand a better chance

My apologies Senna, the first time I read it it looked like you had got one print into your basket and then went back to get another, and it screwed up, realise now it screwed your first order and you lost out, sorry about that, had a JD in my basket twice this afternoon and it errored both times.

No confirmation emails from PoW here - just the page to print / save and a confirmation from the payment company

POW Pictures on Walls, by mido on Feb 5, 2007 20:13:41 GMT 1, they were sold out ages and ages ago...
more importantly what is happening with all of his back catalogue. they aren't sold out, but haven't been up on the site for a several months now. In the lab also isn't sold out, but you cannot actually buy it.
I know a possible answer, but it still seems weird to me.
Some people are easily wound up.... I'm bored just waiting for the 3D to go on sale... But yeah - I would have resold the Micallefs if I could have done - nearly as overrated as the Banksy LA prints (which are a load of tat) unfortunatly the 2 3d bits that are worth picking up already have sold out next to them....

POW Pictures on Walls, by B.Mac on Feb 5, 2007 20:45:22 GMT 1, hey, OK... I paid more than POW but I just bought a forest print from CampBarbara for £150. I told them that it was back on POW for £100 today but explained that I missed it so they cut me a deal.... they said that they actually paid £125 from the ghetto for theres, I think it was £125 from the Ghetto as well as thats what my sister said she thinks she paid...is that right?....oh, they did me a Peter Kennard/Cat Phillipps Photo Op for £150 as well. thats quite fair me thinks...and it's the limited edition print and not the poster. Thought I'd better get one of those as well...you gotto really huh? I like Kennards stuff...saw lots of his originals at the Tate Modern on Sat...anyone seen them?

POW Pictures on Walls, by ng5online on Feb 6, 2007 0:01:06 GMT 1, Already on Ebay? Thats absurd! As i've said before, bid up - negative feedback left. Problem solved. Maybe have like a communal ebay account... but then I guess thats the nature of art dealing, there will always be people who try and make money. I must admit that I had to sell my Invader print a couple of months ago (didnt get it from POW), in order to free up some cash, but my print collection is slowly growing.
I was very lucky to get my hands on a Shat-at today (olive).... I really wanted a chew barber, and there were 2 waiting, but I had to talk a phone call and steppd away from my laptop, only to return and click buy and they were gone. Yet when I click page 2, there was 1 shat-at left! Bonus! That is going straight in a frame, cant wait!
There are so so many prints I want.... hopefully they'll still be in stock on pay day. Another Banksy would be nice also.......
Fingers crossed

POW Pictures on Walls, by johnas on Feb 6, 2007 0:39:46 GMT 1, I aint so bothered about those that buy to re-sell as a business on ebay... I've bought enough prints myself from ebay 'art dealers' and I wouldn't class them as scalpers. they're simply filling a gap in the market
my amazement is that people will list items that they don't even physically own yet... let's say it's damaged in the post to them and they've already sold it on, someone along the way is gonna be disappointed

POW Pictures on Walls, by pastiepie on Feb 6, 2007 0:53:19 GMT 1, I find it funny that their main advertisement was for modern toss prints but they only sold 50 of 200 for both. Maybe it's a sign that not everybody buys what their told.
Was a bit surprised that pretty much everything else up for sale sold, especially the Eine's. I'm guessing that a few people are just OCD about prints and over a month without a POW purchase was just too much.
Hopefully the Banksy prints will be released before the baggers of all 4 Micallef prints can pay off their credit cards.

I'm very surprised the Eines prints went so quickly, they were hanging around all December, my guess would be misguided speculators who think anything from POW is a must have double your money quick kind of thing.

POW Pictures on Walls, by stylus on Feb 6, 2007 14:33:34 GMT 1, Yeah - I blinked and missed it. I picked up Blue Train at Santa's Ghetto, then ummm'd and ahhh'd about whether to get Pink. I guess that decision has been made for me!
Agree with your point about the current gold rush on anything labelled POW. I find it a bit odd. Some prints I am fairly indifferent about flew out of the window. Mind you... so did some that I love! ;-)

POW Pictures on Walls, by Michael Jacob on Feb 6, 2007 15:03:43 GMT 1, Hello, I see people upset over Ebay, and i think thats a joke. How can you be upset by people selling their prints, whether they are a day old or five years old? Without Ebay, most of these prints wouldnt go up in value like they do. Instead of selling your print on a forum or local paper, Ebay puts your goods infront of a zillion people who will pay the extra dollar since they dont have countless hours to hit the refresh button. I damn near have a blister on my finger from doing it! Im in the States and get up at 3:00 in the morning on "print" days in hope of scoring a print.
Ebay helps everyone out. Id like to see anyone of you "ebay haters" sell me your signed Banksys for what you paid for it from POW.
Take the good with the bad.
Jake

Yeah £300 is a lot of money, the last ones were £225 which is more like it, but TMWWTW is a 5 colour screenprint (they've over printed the black 3 times) and although I haven't got it in my hands yet, I'm sure it'll scream quality, as the Last Tango does.
