POW Pictures on Walls, by pezlow on Feb 6, 2007 14:59:43 GMT 1, Interesting that the Eine stuff sold so quickly but the Jamie Hewlett stuff, which is a bit more expensive, is hanging around. I know a lot of people have said that they don't like the windows but I think more have said, to coin a phrase, "we hate eine".

POW Pictures on Walls, by Michael Jacob on Feb 6, 2007 15:03:43 GMT 1, Hello, I see people upset over Ebay, and i think thats a joke. How can you be upset by people selling their prints, whether they are a day old or five years old? Without Ebay, most of these prints wouldnt go up in value like they do. Instead of selling your print on a forum or local paper, Ebay puts your goods infront of a zillion people who will pay the extra dollar since they dont have countless hours to hit the refresh button. I damn near have a blister on my finger from doing it! Im in the States and get up at 3:00 in the morning on "print" days in hope of scoring a print.
Ebay helps everyone out. Id like to see anyone of you "ebay haters" sell me your signed Banksys for what you paid for it from POW.
Take the good with the bad.
Jake

Yeah £300 is a lot of money, the last ones were £225 which is more like it, but TMWWTW is a 5 colour screenprint (they've over printed the black 3 times) and although I haven't got it in my hands yet, I'm sure it'll scream quality, as the Last Tango does.

POW Pictures on Walls, by stylus on Feb 7, 2007 17:09:20 GMT 1, I agree. And on the subject of the so-called scalpers, I don't think it's fair to demonise them for what is effectively just human nature.
We buy the prints because we love them. But if I wasn't a fan, and knew I could buy one day and then sell for double the next, I'd well understand temptation.

POW Pictures on Walls, by pezlow on Feb 8, 2007 16:55:48 GMT 1, Can't believe this print buying - Nearly all the signed Faile have now been sold. Only 10 Macbeth left. This was a print that had been around since October and had clearly been selling at fairly moderate levels. Also it is not a patch on the Faile stuff that you can buy direct from their site.

Have you seen the MJ in person?
It is top notch IMO, one of their best images and perfectly executed.

On the other hand, I still couldn't bring myself to post one up in my house. I have prints with skulls, creepy kids, and other weird stuff, yet I think I'd be frightened when I walked by the MJ in the dark at 2am.

POW Pictures on Walls, by ABC on Feb 8, 2007 22:09:47 GMT 1, 250 for the new Matt small print is not over priced, I receieved one today and the quality is amazing, I would go as far as to say it looks like an original. As for the Neates they make Banksy prints look like something from a school print project. Im not saying I dont love Banksy becuase I do, its just the quality of these prints is exeptional. Anyone living in London get to Elms lesters to have a look. People didn't bat an eyelid spending £500 on the Micallef eyestorm prints - remember what happened to those .

Who knows up and coming talent that aren't 'street/stencil' artists?

I saw an ad for an art gallery selling Rolf Harris on top of the Blek Le Rat forum yesterday, I kid you not.

POW Pictures on Walls, by gbh on Feb 9, 2007 1:40:37 GMT 1, hey, don't take the piss out of Rolf. He is one of my favourite artists.
I have a pencil piece he did for me about twenty years ago when I was a kid. I sat next to him on a plane once when I was a young solo flyer and he kept me entertained all the way, telling stories and drawing etc. That was before he was anyone special.
I still have that drawing, it is my absolute prized possession in the world.
