Gerry Anderson R.I.P, by Deleted on Dec 26, 2012 21:21:38 GMT 1, I doubt if I'm the only one on here whose childhood was influenced by the creations of Gerry Anderson ( Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, UFO, Space 1999 and many more).
Had the absolute pleasure of meeting him once when he hosted a lecture on Super-Marionation that came to the venue I was working in. He was an absolute gentleman, prepared to spend time signing autographs and speaking to enthusiastic fans both young and old, and I got to carry Thunderbird 2, Lady Penelope's pink Rolls Royce and some of the original puppets. An evening I will never forget.

Joe 99 was awesome too. Every time I open the Tracy Island box I still want to play with it. A sad, sad loss.
