Anyone use adobe creative cloud?, by jmcy9999 on Jan 8, 2013 15:51:08 GMT 1, Yes - I do. It's great value for money. I only pay £27 a month though - i think it's now double that. I don't use any of the video type apps, but I heavily use Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, Edge, Muse and Acrobat. The free business catalyst hosting for test sites is useful as well. Muse is a great tool for making good looking websites which don't need much functionality and where performance isn't as issue....you have to use it carefully though since the code is bloated and not really that maintainable.

I am thinking about getting in that cloud stuff... but i need the video stuff. Does it work with big files and is it realtime?
Does anyone work with the video software on the creative cloud?

It's a little deceptive since the actual software is still downloaded on to your computer but has shared files, virtual HD and authentication with the Adobe cloud. Getting additional programs, updates ect is done seamlessly since you are linked to their cloud sever. I use most of the "cloud" programs and they all work great. It's basically a great way to always have the most current versions of your adobe programs and amortize the total cost over the year with monthly payments, even though after a few years you are paying more if you normally don't get each new version.

Ah thanks that clears it up a bit. But what if i only need video applications? And what if you don't like/want an update? For example; Not adobe software though but Final cut pro 5 is way better than final cut pro 10.. Is it possible to not update? Also some updates have bugs in them so i usually wait with updates until people installed the updates and post that all is working fine
