Who have you asked for a photo with?, by atomone on Dec 31, 2012 16:49:01 GMT 1, It was years ago and very old skool but I had pictures taken with Frank Bruno and Phil Collins when I was introduced to them at a Princes Trust sponsorship for my contribution to the graffiti scene at the time...long story but will post pics next week as I'm away at the mo! The pics are priceless! ;D

Got some cool pics of Marco Pierre White and myself 'shopping' on a mutal friends land
Favourite pic is with Henry Cooper whilst I'm sporting a shiner, he held his fist to face and from memory it was the size of half my face. Alas that remained on a cork board with an ex, probably in 1000 bits by now!
Could scan some metalhead sessions at the blue note pics but they pretty damn messy from memory...cringe......................

I had a photo of Nelson Mandela and myself taken on a beach in Umlanga S.Africa. A woman walking her dog took the pic...pre. digi cameras so wasnt sure what she had managed till I got it developed;thankfully, it couldnt have been better. Just as she was about to take the snap I looked over at the great man, smiled, and offered my hand...he smiled back, we clasped hands and she took the pic. I then asked him for an autograph, but being on a beach wasnt really equipped;it was either my fag packet or a R10 note, which he initially declined saying it was illegal, but a few winks of encouragement and voila!
Obviously, a couple of years ago now and taken in 94 pre election. Crazily, when I hung the photo up at my business, proud to display it, I lost some clients who couldnt accept I had shaken the hand of a blood stained terrorist...interesting times indeed!
Excuse the poor iphone quality snap...the photo and signed note are floating in glass and hung somewhere totally insignificant in my home.

I was indeed very lucky.Lots more to the story too..see the white guy wearing the hat? He was asking Madiba's bodyguard wtf they were doing on his beach...hes lucky they didnt shoot him there and then..
If only my luck would extend to buying nice art on the primary market with which to hang!
