He's certainly upped his game, by far the most accomplished work to date! The ยฃ3900 Horse was incredible in the flesh with great framing and still more affordable than a CYW. Whilst hanging around in the shop area I saw 5 being sold. Looking forward to getting my f**ker bird and shot wabbit print. Noticed Micallef there checking out the show too..

It's got lots of newspaper print layering with spray paint which looks amazing close up.

A few of the prints are now sold out, but some fuckers left. The remaining prints I'm told will hit the website soonish. Lots of signed show print freebies, postcards and catalogues left.
I saw a proof of the dog print to be screened and it looks top quality, I just dont like dogs.
I was impressed by the rabbit prints, the one on show had no border, just nice thick print up to a ripped edge, Lovely.

What do you mean, they're not clearing the 75gbp prints? Not sure I understand this point considering they haven't gone on sale yet, and are likely to be unsigned and unnumbered! 75gbp sounds about right, and even still, I'm sure it'll be busy this afternoon!
I think you need to bare in mind that it's only been 48 hours that people have known that CB has sold out another show at such high prices; I think you'll find that give it a few weeks all CB prints will be sold out, and then there will be a 'price adjustment' in his prints - I could be wrong but I would agree that an artist (not just street artists!) that is selling originals for more than 60k to some huge names in the art world doesn't normally have signed prints available for 250gpb...!
I find it more interesting considering where he goes from here... if it's a case that a few high end collectors are buying all his work, this doesn't necessarily mean there will be any firm longevity over CB selling work in the future. Is Charming Baker becoming one of the most exciting contemporary artists today or is he just a fad?!

I am not doubting baker's talent and I quite like some of the works... Can some one explain why does Hirst & the likes buy loads of these OG's?? Its just seems its hype to then get some rich normal people to pay 60k, it ends up like like a pyramid scheme... with the lower classes (like normal guys on here) through word of mouth end up scrapping for 75 - 300 pound prints to flip on Ebay.. kind of sad really

My convuleted point exactly. Street art is driven by print flippers while "normal" art by original flippers....

Matthew, Jealous's Master Printer, was clearly enjoying explaining the process and being the centre of attention - even if Will Young did try to take over his job for a while.ย
If you've not been yet, I'd recommend finding time as it's a beautifully present show and you can pick up the very well produced catalogue for no outlay...or for ยฃ75 get the onsite print on a Saturday.ย
The other prints are moving quickly too. Plenty of Fuckers sold this lunchtime. Move fast if you are interested in those prints though as ย their inbox is stuffed with emails from those who can't make the show.ย
