This is an art forum. For discussing art. Reasonable critique of artwork that is commercially released (or indeed that which is not) is fundamental imo.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you on this. But if I comment something on the forum nobody take me seriously, instead users, with so many stars and so much experience has an immense capacity to influence the choices and tastes of the thousands of collectors who visit each day these posts ... better to advice a collector about a bad purchase (for your personal point of wiew) before the releasing than to detroy his happiness after he finally managed to get maybe his first Dran

Several members were insinuating that since I am a Mod I should not express my beliefs publicly in a negative manner. I didn't purposely wait for the print to be sold out before I made my comments, it happened to have worked out that way - but I do understand that there is a perception that certain individuals are perceived to have the power to influence the potential success or failure of an artists work and I can honestly say that I do not believe that my opinion could or should influence anything. I do like certain artists work more than other artists and I definitely prefer to deal with certain galleries more than others, but when I make public comments on this forum it's 99% as a pure street artist fan and when I make public posts on administrative topics I preface my posts with the ever so annoying **** assistant moderator alert **** for a reason.

I have a couple of very nice drans and my opinion is that Price Crash is not a very good image ... there I have said it ... well actually I have said it before

I got the drop email from POW, clicked the link immediately, and since it was still available I panic-bought it. Once I had a chance to take a good look at the image, I realized that I'd made a mistake, but it seems like many others had the same realization. Oh well. Impulse buys are rarely good buys. |
