Are they worth more?
Had my eye on the black shutter print by Ben Eine, but I think they're asking silly money for it...£1k?? But could be worth it?

There is always a steady stream of folks looking for this and the alphabet shutterfont and I think they are worth around the same. A black alphabet was on here recently and I'm pretty confident that the seller got the £1000 that he was asking.
As for printers proofs , I know personally I'd rather have one than part of the standard edition but its up to the individual. Good luck in your search  cnh.

Which I am starting to have concerns about. The seller has stated the have some more printers proofs available.
They say they do the printing for Ben?!?
I am now concerned about the signature, the blind stamp and the lack of the British rail stamp.
When I ask these questions they ask me to phone them instead of email?
What does everyone else think?

The prints weren't printed by Ben, I don't think he printed anything himself since POW. Not 100% on Scary/Exciting some tie up with BRP on the varnish.
They were Nelly Duff blindstamped.
A quick call to Duff will verify the printers used.

Signature looks fine to me and the blind-stamp looks ok too. The only thing that would concern me is why it is blind-stamped, (generally a PP wouldn't be without being sold from the gallery as such) and why it is dated 2011 when it was released in 2009. Seller states release was in 2010, which is incorrect. Possibly the printer had copies lying around and had it signed at a later date.
Also a little strange the spot varnish is so far offset, but I suppose this could have been to test the colour change varnished and unvarnished.
Without provenance directly from Ben or Nelly Duff it's always a gamble with these things, so would suggest the price is a tad high, but if it does as the seller states come with some form of provenance then it's about the money for a great looking print.

Hi Jusdeep wasn't there also a release of the numbers by nelly duff (ed of around thirty something) which had a varying number of layers, so technically all unique, that was released after the main batch? Ive seen them around but can't remember for the life of me when they were released |
