This April Island/Def Jam is due to release a 25th anniversary box set featuring all six of Public Enemyโs celebrated works for the label.
Set to feature 1987โฒs Yo! Bum Rush the Show, 1988โฒs It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, and 1990โฒs Fear of a Black Planet alongside double LPs for 1991โฒs Apocalypse โ91โฆ The Enemy Strikes Back, 1994โฒs Muse Sick-n-House Mess Age, and 1996โฒs official soundtrack to Spike Leeโs He Got Game, the nine-disc box set will see each of the works on hi-fi 180 gram vinyl and include each albumโs original artwork, as well as a custom box to house the entire collection. Look for the commemorative set to drop on April 15, just days before the group kicks off a string of summer tour dates to coincide with this yearโs induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 18

Went to see LL cool J ?. Who was headlining, but Public Enemy stole the show.. Amazing.

I'm a bit crazy about his work these days. Extremely under rated IMHO.

I'm sure like many long time fans, I was really tempted by the charity piece that was on ebay recently, and had to resist... Buyer did well
Went to a great exhibition of his in Tokyo in 2002... & I still kick myself for not asking about some of the work.
Then again it was the same trip I had my pick of obey prints for ยฃ15 each from the DEPT store/show, Banksy had his 'wrong war' show with Griffin clothing in Beams and Dalek had a range of small originals for sale at an exhibition next door.
Oh and one day he'll get his shop sorted on his website.

I would have bid more but I'm a bit broke having just bought his 2 Known Gallery prints and a large canvas when I was in NY a couple weeks back. Eventually I'll get around to posting pics of the Canvas.
