mrchristopherrobinso I think the "tumbleweed" reference is meant to evoke the eerie silence in westerns when the protagonist enters an empty frontier town. In this case, eerie silence is what forumites encounter when they try to buy "Fight Club" because it's a highly sought after print that rarely, if ever, comes up for sale.

They really vary between £200 for a hybrid up to £3,000 for a carbon fibre / handmade frame. 

I paid around £800 for mine but bought it through the 'ride to work scheme' so i paid around £48 a month for 10 months. It is now 7 years old but still fine. 

There was one at prescription art that recently sold for £3000 and there seems to be another one for sale at an alternative gallery for 5-7k eur. So around the 3k mark seems to be the going rate it would seem

Just from a curiosity standpoint, could you tell me a little more about the work and your initial acquisition?

What did you like about the work and what do you think it represents?

for me it represents the downfall of regal empire , and with it the shift to urban and modern culture that we now have (e.g. graffiti, powerful women in wwwk etc) . the deer is typically a majestic animal and is dead. I think that's symbolic. I love the artist's work as not only is he a very talented painter (e.g. the detail on the characters faces) but also very unique in his approach to the subject. I could go into more detailed analysis but essentially art is so subjective that you have to draw your own conclusions.

I have a huge (only slightly larger than Fight Club) Robert Longo that could not be framed with conventional glass because it would become too heavy. The only real alternative was anti-reflex and uv protection plexi glass which cost more than 1000 pounds per square meter. The total cost with frame and labour easily amounted to 1800 pounds...

Nice print. Reckon I could get that framed similar for about £300 though. Had huge prints framed with non reflective glass to museum standard etc before and the cost was nothing like this. Each to their own though. Good luck with the sale.
