Bristol Tomorrow - Any Recommendations?, by Feral Things on Apr 15, 2013 20:57:53 GMT 1, Here's some recommendations for anyone visiting Bristol. If you wanna see pieces by a particular writer/artist I'd be happy to help anyone out with locations.
Graffiti spots - Stokes Croft and the adjacent streets like Jamaica Street, Ashley Road & Moon Street - Dean Lane Skate Park/Dame Emily Park - Bristol's main Hall of Fame - Nelson Street - where See No Evil has been held for the last couple of years - Mina Road tunnel - near the City Farm which does great breakfasts and lunch - The College site - bit of a trek if you haven't got a car
Galleries - Art El - on the corner of Nelson Street, Represent Mr Jago, Rowdy, SheOne and co. - Weapon of Choice - run by Cheba and next to Banksy's Hanginng Man - King of Paint - good place to buy paint too if you're planning on getting up - Royal West of England Academy - sometimes great, sometimes uninspiring - Bristol Museum - the only public gallery I can think of with two Banksy's on show
Restaurants - Boca Bar - really good pizza and mezze - Maitreya Social - fantastic veggie restaurant - Prego - really good Italian - Noa - Mmm, sushi - Cafe Kino - cooperatively run cafe conveniently located if you're checking out graffiti
Bars - The Woods - best whisky collection in town; which is definition of a good bar - The Apple - best cider collection in town - The Old Duke - fantastic live jazz, especially on a Friday night - Hyde and Co - never been able to decide if this place is really swanky or just plain wanky - Thekla - more of a club than a bar but I've had many a happy night here over the years

Bristol Tomorrow - Any Recommendations?, by letiss on Apr 15, 2013 21:25:23 GMT 1, Cosies Cellar Bar is one of my favourite little places just off Stokes Croft. The only place I know that real ale and d&b are served.
Add Upfest Galley in Bedminster to the list below and you could get one of the remaining bugs. Or if you're just there for a short time the Harbourside is a good bet, as the Arnolfini normally has some interesting stuff on and there's the new Bristol museum there too.
