£8k for a standard colour (not one of the vip ones) seems a lot to me.

I think a few posts after this result referred to manipulation of prices. Maybe better to wait until the buzz dies down, look at soup can prices now.

Sorry if I sound suspicious but I find it strange that in one sentence you're claiming prices are going 'way up' yet in another you're claiming you want one for a reasonable price?...after you've added about £2k+ to the supposed value already.....as far as I'm aware these are not yet even fetching anything like £8000. Are you sure you're not selling one?.

Each to their own, i'd much rather have a collection of coloured soupcans than CYW's on my wall.

I sold my grey one for less than 4k not long ago and it was a fair price for both. Even if the price has gone up a wee bit since then, it's not at 8k level...

I was merely posting an honest reply. i don't believe i've ever spent my time talking up print prices and none of mine are hitting the market so no agenda there though i guess as i reread that i can appreciate where you're coming from. I had an interest in the thread, read and replied. Sorry if it came across that i have an agenda in talking up prices. I'm certainly biased but i don't have an agenda. As to your question is 8k such a good price, I have no idea and if you're friend is selling at 6500 that suggests i overpaid but i don't feel foolish. Terrible price relative to the original cost but there are only 25 plus however many reds are in the AP edition. fwiw, I don't believe i've ever sold or stored a print in my life as i buy to hang which is not to suggest one is more right than any other. Good luck either way if you're hunting. |
