Faile win a Gold and Silver in NY advertising awards!, by bsimkin on May 3, 2013 17:45:41 GMT 1, Faile have won a Gold for Illustration and Silver for Promotional Items at the New York Festival: International Advertising Awards, for Les Ballets de Faile. And there's a nice video of the work and event: advertising.newyorkfestivals.com/winners/16244/ Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but the advertising agency DDB NY that "Designed" these promotional posters won the award. Total garbage, right? I mean, you add a little type above someone else's imagery and get the accolades, give me a break.

Faile win a Gold and Silver in NY advertising awards!, by Happy Shopper on May 3, 2013 20:42:07 GMT 1, From what I can see it was DDB's idea to team up the Ballet with Faile... DDB would have paid the money to enter the competition, so their name's on it, but Faile designed the posters and they won for best Illustration.

Faile win a Gold and Silver in NY advertising awards!, by bsimkin on May 6, 2013 16:45:41 GMT 1, Right on, didn't think about DDB playing a role in coordinating/recommending to the NYC Ballet for them to work with Faile for their new art series. I guess it was never really mentioned in the lead-up that they played a part in making that aspect happen. Just figured they were supporting the ballet with promotional materials. Regardless, more publicity for Faile is good publicity.
