Banksy Trade?, by Coach on May 4, 2013 20:22:24 GMT 1, Long shot, but I have a signed black and white Trollies. Wondering if anyone who owns a Colour Trollies might want to upgrade to a b&w. My Trollies is framed by MFM. Looking for a framed Colour Trollies, so it's ready to hang. Cash to be added to the Colour Trollies, due to it's lower value. Thanks

You let me have your signed b/w Trollies and I swap you my unsigned b/w Trollies + a bunch of cash. You can put it up on the wall in the same place and nobody will ever notice! And. You'll have Chablis to spare for years!!!

My friend, I have just opened a nice bottle of Freixenet ;-)
As for your kind offer, maybe... Just let me see if I get any offers of a colour one, as that is my preference, if you dont mind. Is your u/s Tollies framed?

Me b/w Trollies isn't framed. But it soon could be - how would you like it? Haha
And I do a delivery and collection service.
Good luck mate with the sale whichever way it goes

Banksy Trade?, by Coach on May 4, 2013 23:58:01 GMT 1, I have looked on EB and ebay (completed listings) but find no help whatsoever. Does anyone have any realistic view on the difference in value between a colour trolleys and a signed b&w one? Thanks

Banksy Trade?, by craigf on May 5, 2013 0:38:11 GMT 1, It's an interesting offer Coach, the smaller signed edition for the colour plus cash.... I have a B&W unsigned and a coloured signed with the latter up on the wall. It's an image that works really well in colour, at the same time the B&W is v nice and signed rare...

Banksy Trade?, by Happy Shopper on May 5, 2013 10:45:22 GMT 1, According to EB the average price for Colour is $3432 and B&W signed is $5810. But I think those are based on old results and recent sales of the Colour have been nearer $4500-$5000!

Thanks happyshopper. I looked last night on EB but could only find reference to an original. I must have been doing something wrong. Could you PM to me the links for each print, by any chance?
Anybody have a punt at what a fair deal would be - how much cash to be added to a colour tolleys for a b&w signed one?
Thanks

Thanks HS. Had a look now, and not sure it helps either. There is no 6 month average for the b&w. And the last b&w sold above the average too. Simpler question then - anyone have a view on the value of both the b&w and the value of the colour trolleys? I am keen to do this trade, but only if the difference in value makes it worthwhile - ie I raise a decent amount of art purchasing funds in the process.

Banksy Trade?, by Coach on May 5, 2013 21:40:20 GMT 1, Hi andy. Thanks for the offer. I haven't yet worked out what I do think would be an appropriate cash element, but I do know that your offer is not enough to make me want to do the trade. Thanks though.

Banksy Trade?, by Coach on May 5, 2013 21:53:11 GMT 1, Am I a million miles off if I have it in mind that the b&w is worth somewhere between £4k and £4.5k in today's market, and the colour trolleys is worth around £3k in the current market? If I am way off, please tell me. This is just what I had thought were current values, which is why I offered up this trade. But I have to admit I do not try to keep up to date with print values. If the difference is in fact only a few hundred quid, then I'll keep the b&w. Where is HowlinHooker when you need him?

I think ignoring the absolute prices a differential of between £1k and £1.5k seems about right considering the smaller edition size of the B&W print
