Delivering Prints Overseas, by ak47tos on Nov 7, 2007 10:57:04 GMT 1, Just looking for a bit of advice really.
I've just sold a framed Jamie Hewlett print of mine on the bay, and the chap who's won the auction is based in Madrid.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how or where I can get the framed print professionally packaged and the best method of shipment. What might the approximate costs be?
Parcelforce say that glass cannot be insured and you are only covered for the price you paid for the picture not it's projected value or the price someone has paid for it.

Delivering Prints Overseas, by neutral on Nov 7, 2007 11:01:08 GMT 1, Send it without the glass and maybe use UPS or Fedex with your own packaging. Cost will depend on the declared value and insurrance.

Delivering Prints Overseas, by mcnuts on Nov 7, 2007 11:07:27 GMT 1, ok my advice was useless.... i'm going back to suggesting a weekend break in madrid!
Parcelforce's explanation seems rubbish re the value. So a banksy print is only ever worth £150 as thats what a signed rat cost from POW? I call b.s.
Anyway, sounds like a tough one. Perhaps your local framer can pack it up?
