Shipping spray cans from the UK *Beware*, by vacano on May 31, 2013 14:40:47 GMT 1, Just thought I’d share my recent experience. I sold my mbw dummy spray can to someone overseas, however it never made it out of the UK. I later found out that the Post Office have a list of prohibited items, aerosol cans being one of them. Even though it was a dummy can with absolutely nothing in it, they destroyed it after being detected through the x-ray machine at the airport. I was told that this will apply to domestic shipping this year. Has this happened to anyone else?

Shipping spray cans from the UK *Beware*, by Dr Plip on May 31, 2013 15:51:46 GMT 1, The Royal Mail used to just bounce them back. This destruction thing must be new.
They've refused to ship spray cans for some time now, which (I think) may have affected the online sale/value of a lot of limited edition cans. Some couriers seem to mail them, but others don't. I think that a lot of homeland security agencies don't like "blowy-upy" things being flown these days.
Boats. They're the future.

Shipping spray cans from the UK *Beware*, by colony on May 31, 2013 16:09:10 GMT 1, The Royal Mail really get on my nerves sometimes, why wouldn't they just hold onto the item and tell you that they won't ship it!?
But yeah, if you buy cans online they always use private couriers which is why its always quite expensive. Although having said that Royal Mail will most likely be privatised soon so maybe they will start allowing cans through...
