Obv it's a favourite of mine and I'd love to own one but what are members views on the price increase  You could have picked one up for about £2000 a couple of weeks ago ! Then someone offers £2500 for one and now one on flea bay for £3000 ! I know it's down to what people will pay on here etc but is it just a case of the print increasing in £££ that quick or members trying to cash in who own them ( which you can't fault !) and do you think they will be worth say £5000 in a years time Thanks all

I will say 99% NO on that.
My thoughts on this issue is that its one of the audience favorite pice. Its been left pretty much alone, thinking of colorways. And it relates to so many, the image itself i think.
And yes, its a damn good image.
Peronally i dont like the creamish background on it, thats why i went for Kitty Riot when i was conflicted about witch to get. And the format to be honest. But back then and still, Kitty has for me always been a bit over Teddy.
Something heppend to Kitty when 4 new colorways came. The price on the original red release actually FELL. First time ive seen that on a dolk print. And its been down there ever since almost.
Witch to me is strange, because i think red is deffenetly the best color on the 5 that was made.
Also if i am not mistaken, the same was done with the canvas versions. Teddy got left alone and got rare, while Kitty got was it 3 colorways?
But looking at the Dolk canvas prices, i just dont see how this can go on and end up in £5000 within a year. If that happends, someone remind me i promiced to do another freebie handout competition(on something i have for sale at the time in the future if this should happen  ). So yes. Im betting on this hehe. If you are right, i have to GIVE away a print for free
Why not spice it up when its already a hot talking issue. Been that for a long time now, and i suspect it will continue untill things even out or someone brings this up in a year and remind us all how wrong some of us were.

I've seen a lot of member(s) here talking these up all of whom are brand new and just popped up to talk about how great these are and how they would pay their left nut for one. Call me an ideallist but I don't think there are that many foolish people here.

I am NOT trying to talk this up, i would prefere it went down again, and i suspect it will. Too strange with this insane high price jump all of a sudden. Dolk has been around for a long time, and what is happening here is so rare, hyping and price fixing was my first thoughts too. Just didnt want to accuse anyone early in the game, and let time tell the trouth.

Yea, I believe so too. And I am 99% sure we are correct 
Just don’t see it so often on so established artists as Dolk, do we?
Would think most ppl knew the value on most of the pieces by now.
But there are several types of hype imo
This one is because many wanted it at the same time, and some sellers saw the opportunity to profit on it. Juts an assumption from my side though. I am pretty sure when the ppl who REALLY was after it gets their hands on it, everything will be back to normal, and someone overpaid for a piece.
But I still stand behind my own analysis of the colorway history between Kitty and Teddy.

I think you are spot on here. I believe the price got inflated when a new member at an Norwegian art forum announced that he was in the marked for a Teddy. Then he proposed to buy a Teddy for approx. £2878 after an hour. 5 days later he came up with an new offer of £3345. There has been no confirmation that he actually bought the print for this price.
For me it sounded like someone wanted to raise the expectation. I've never seen someone starting off over marked price. Usually people will try to beat the marked.

I don't understand why everyone here gets grumpy when pieces go up in price. How fast did Banksy go from a couple of hundred pounds to a couple of thousand pounds (I actually really want to know)? I really want to see a street artist go through the same price jump as Banksy, just to see how it works..

Personally I think Banksy print prices are crazy compared to his originals and compared to the prints of more famous, "bigger" artists. Warhol, Haring are good examples. Warhol is a rare case where his prints command a high value but he is one of the most famous and popular artists of all time. Haring is Haring. It blows my mind that Banksy prints command more than Haring's.
Some people (IMO) are going to be very disappointed in a few years with Banksy print prices.
Dolk is in a whole other level of stupid prices (if you believe the prices being thrown around here). Not sure people will remember him in 20 years. Not sure what he has done other than ride the street art wave. Don't get me wrong I think he has talent and makes some pretty pictures but so do a lot of people.
Haring and Warhol are 1 in a million while Dolk is 1 of a million. Banksy is somewhere in the middle.
Just my opinion. For the record I do have both Banksy and Dolk prints. I just don't think they are going to make me rich.
