Solidarity with all G8 Protesters in London, by tartarus on Jun 12, 2013 13:23:55 GMT 1, Hmm usual story of the cops turning a peaceful protest into a violent one! As ever heavy handed as fuck without good reason. Those pics look to me like they slammed the dude on the roof, into the floor face first irrelevant of the level of threat he posed to the SIX of them up there with safety ropes!
"reasonable force" oh yeah, righty oh!

Solidarity with all G8 Protesters in London, by Baby Dave on Jun 12, 2013 15:56:37 GMT 1, Hmm usual story of the cops turning a peaceful protest into a violent one! As ever heavy handed as f**k without good reason. From the pictures and the videos, it looks to me that the three police officers who were speaking to the man threw him to the floor after he tried throwing himself off the roof. Reasonable force in this situation? I would say so. I'm not making a general comment on the protests as a whole or other police actions, I'm solely responding to the comment made in relation to police force used in this circumstance.

Solidarity with all G8 Protesters in London, by tartarus on Jun 12, 2013 16:02:24 GMT 1, Yeah, i realised after posting that the video might show that! cant get it to play though. Im waiting till i can to say any more! Fair comment really BD.
The other guy being led away in the pics also seemed to have got a go though. And in reality they are largely over vicious when dealing with these situations. And i have a fair bit of first hand experience of it.
